As per title, looking for a recommendation of any garages to fit H&R springs to my S3. In or around the Aberdeen area is what I'm after. Thanks.

Easy enough to do it yourself Kev. PM Paullie she's from up your neck of the woods.....she may have some good contacts that could assist.

Lol really? I was told don't ever f with the coil springs they're compressed and when it comes out it will take your head off!

That's what spring compressors are for! ;)

You could ask Ilim as well, I know that he's had springs put on and I'm pretty sure it didn't cost him too much all in, like <£50 I think (don't quote me on that though...).

I've done plenty of 8p A3/S3's and never needed to use my spring compressors. As the top nut is unscrewed it looses enough compression to just drop off.
With the right tools its a fairly easy 2hr job!

Yeah, I should really just do the job myself. Reasonably handy with a spanner, fitted coilovers to my Clio trackcar no probs. A guide would of course help to see if there's anything specific/peculiar with the S3 set-up.

Is it necessary to get the alignment checked/reset after only a 25mm drop? Local Motorsport company has quoted £360 to supply and fit the springs including a full geometry check using Hunter equipment. About £80 of that is the geometry check.

Yeah you should get the alignment done as although its only 25mm, you are removing the strut and refitting it so will be slightly different.
Same for the back, it will make a difference however slight.
I had mine Hunter aligned for £65, its impressive what they can adjust, nothing like a tracking adjustment!
