any advice appreciated...

tackled a steep gradient over the weekend... 32% in Devon

stayed in gear one, steady 5mph and held it at 1000rpm... for half a mile...

no burning clutch or transmission smell... did i do well?

is that the proper way or is there anything else i need to know... heading back to Devon on the weekend again. Loved it! Roads were just as good/if not better than Wales.

yeh Dartmoor was a blast... I covered a lot of ground... had a week off work... done North/South Devon with missus. Amazing beaches... countryside... ohhh Lynton and Lynmouth were great too. You've just given me an idea... thread coming up - cheers

Any reason for 5mph? It won't kill your transmission to go quicker so long as the clutch is NOT slipping, or is 32degrees a lot more than it sounds?

G, where is this road?

What's that's really steep road up north?
I can't think of the name but apparently it's famous

Chimney bank near Rosedale North Yorks is supposed to be one of, if not the, steepest motorable roads in England ... Quite short though ...
