Did this once but cant seem to repeat by holding both buttons in .Am I missing something?

Press and hold auto on whichever side you want control.

Hard to remember from memory, but I believe if you hold in the drivers side auto button for a few secs, the passenger side temp display will read the same as the drivers. Adjusting the drivers side will also adjust the passengers.
Adjusting the passenger side will revert it back to dual zone.
If you hold in the passenger side "+" button and the "recirculation" button you can switch between degrees C of F, for the climate control and the outside temp in the DIS....

Thanks thats done it in secs after fiddling around for an hour!my book doesnt say use auto as well and I find solo useful cos the buttons are low down and dodgy to use on the move
