Yep, the brochure is on the Audi website now! Go go go! :)

Thanks for spotting that. I been looking in at Audi UK most days this week but you beat me to it today.

I just hope there are more models available with s-tronic by the time I come to change my existing Sportback for a new one.

I was actually in the dealer earlier asking about brochures and so forth and another salesman overheard the conversation and said the brochure had literally just been posted :)

Well I've just specced up an S-Line TDI with everything I'd realistically want an it was under £30k so happy with that.

One big issue though - the brochure has no information at all on mobile phone connectivity. There are supposed to be various mobile phone prep options, with things like Google maps for the nav, WiFi hotspot functionality and so forth. None of this is mentioned anywhere and looks like an omission to me.

Popped into the dealer again to point out the lack of info on phone connectivity options. They agreed it was a bit strange. It's either that the high-end option is standard and they've just not detailed that in the main model spec pages (unlikely) or that they've missed a page out of the PDF or something (far more likely IMO). They're going to look into it and get back to me.

8P 3 door prices have been removed from Audi website and configurator as well as the S3 3door :)

Interesting, I wonder why.

They really are botching this whole launch tbh.

EDIT: Oops - misread what you posted - I thought you meant they'd removed the prices of the new 8V model, my bad.

Incidentally, when I spoke to the guy about the phone options, he immediately asked what phone I had and we discussed the rSAP issue. It seems the sales guys have been well briefed with regards to the iPhone and how much of a problem this is going to cause, to the point that they've been instructed by HQ to ask customers what phone they have.

New A3 is now available to configure on Audi.de

I specced one up there now with everything I could click and it came to €45,790 which equates to roughly £37,058!!

QR code for my config

Audi code doesn't work on UK configurator just yet

Are the prices over there higher or did you spec literally everything?

I specced from the brochure with a 2.0TDI S-Line as a base and adding everything I'd want on the car and it was just under £30k.

Doubt they've changed the engines much, so I really wouldn't spec a 2.0 TDi, the engines are a pos! The A4 177 and old 170's are rubbish so you'd be better in a petrol!

I just specced everything to see how the max price would turn out.

Buying in Euros would be slightly more so the UK price would be a bit less I'd say.

Spec'd mine, just over £26000 for what I desire, providing they give me £21000 (dreaming) for mine i'll shake hands

I have a 170PS A3 at the moment and I love it - goes like stink :D

The new 2.0TDI is a 150PS unit, so a bit down on power from what I have now but the key thing is the 106g/km CO2 figure. As a company car, everything hinges on the CO2 rating for me. My current A3 is about £26.5k list price whereas the model of new A3 I want comes out at around £30k, yet I'd end up paying about £10 a month less P11D tax on it due to the low CO2 rating - win! :D

I am on my eigth A3. I've had petrol, diesel 140 and 170, manual and s-tronic 3-door and Sportback and my current 2012 2.0TDI-170 s-tronic Sportback is by far the best. It is a great engine with all the power I want and 46-50mpg overall. When I come to change I will be looking for another 2.0TDI s-tronic Sportback. Exactly which model will depend what is on offer at the time.

I'm not seeing that at all, mines returning an average of 35mpg and compared to my old 320d it's down on power too! I'd steer well clear of getting another 2.0 TDi, but I guess if you've had good results, then fair play.

Well I'm absolutely gutted! Visited my local dealer today ready to shake hands only to be told my car is only worth £145000 and that I would need to find another £12000 for the new one. Needless to say, I AM GUTTED! Not sure what guts me more, the fact I can't have a new car or that I've lost £11000 in 2 years?

£ 145000 ! I get the feeling you were slightly ripped off when you bought the car then
Wasn't ripped off, I'm lucky to have a good dealer by me unlike most. What will be will be, I can sort of understand where they are coming from, it is nearly two years old

Wake up.. A hundred and forty five grand. I was yanking your chain mate
I was a little ****** last night. Ignore me! If I was offered that sum of money I would be shaking their hand.

By my quick reckoning that's a 43% loss in two years, which does sound a bit harsh for a premium brand such as an Audi.

Then again, A3s are everywhere lately, even black editions, which must be affecting used values, plus with the new model due out soon, that can't help.

Ok so maybe it's not worth quite as much as you'd hoped but, even under the best circumstances, it'd only ever have been worth a few grand more. So don't think of it as having lost £11k, think of it as just having been work £2-3k less than you thought it would be, that's easier to deal with I think :)

When I sold my previous A3 in March I had lost 47% over three years which is a bit better than a lot of makes can manage. I normally work on the basis of loosing around 45-50% over three years. That has been the case with all my A3s.

Like your way of thinking, still hard to accept though!
