hi guys,

i wanted to know your guys opinions on petrol stations,

whos the best for price and quality?

i used tesco for 1 year and found the petrol ran out quite quickly

i then moved to shell, which i noticed a good difference in longer lasting fuel but i have to go out of my way to find a shell garage.

so: who do you guys use?

and your opinions pleaseeeeeee

thank you :)

Tom

Tesco 99 (momentum) for me - find it's as good as Optimax\Vpower but a little cheaper + clubcard points!

I'm currently experiemnting with V Power after using Morrisons for the first couple fo months. So far, no increase in MPG...

I use mainly with sainsbury but to be honest, whenever my car nearly run out of diesel I just pop into any petrol station that I see.

Shell garage for me at old ford(bow) currently £1.35 a litre of diesel, although is a nightmare and always have to que!

I do Shell V-Power for long journeys. Then bump down to TESCO Momentum For just around town and stuff.

Recently I have used quite a lot of V-Power purely for the air miles. Haha.

My car was mapped to run with Shell V-Power so I only use Shell V-Power.

Think you even get double/triple points for using V-Power and a bonus 50 points from Shell via their mobile app every now and again too.

Yes indeed... All about the points! Haha.

Shell ADL, this is the best one on the planet @ Worthersee

What's all that Blue stuff on the front ? Looks like you just took it from the Audi Factory in Germany ....:haha:

Im guessing its 3M tape to protect the front end from stone chips on the way to a show? :sly:

Anyway back on topic, SHELL always! When i have to occasionally fill up at a supermarket i've noticed a slight loss in power as well as poor mpg.

that is masking tape to protect the paint from stone chips and fly's on the way to a car show

Seen ......I ain't seen that before ........True story ...lol

if i remember rightly the vpower petrol is more expensive, is it worth the difference from their normal unleaded?
my mate used to use vpower all the time with his z20let and evo, so now i have a 2.0T i supose it would be more healthy for my car?
iv always had small engines cars previously so never thought about using the good stuff

I'm with ShaunS3 on this one, Shell always as I get points and 50 extra points via the IPhone app. It all adds up and at least I get some money off vouchers

V-Power is high octane - designed for high performance engines and helps keep them healthy. Normal unleaded just doesn't cut the mustard.

They have V-Power racing in Germany, well seeing as I just had the whole front end painted I wasn't about to get it stoned chipped on my 2000 mile round trip.

BP because it's nearby, and Asda when I go shopping because it's cheaper, for the most part. Morrisons or Shell if I'm low and passing.

BP garage in Beccles on a round about.. the only garage i use very handy for me as A. open 24 hours and B. its on my way to work i pretty much stop in there every week day lol

BP normally but sometimes i use shell or esso.
I just wont use supermarket fuel anymore as i've heard not only do you get better mileage from Bp/shell/esso fuel, it is also better for the engine because it has additves in it which supermarket fuel doesn't.

I use Tesco Momentum. That way I can buy red wine with my clubcard points to drown my sorrows about how much petrol I buy. Recently my local went up to 146.9/litre. It's come down again, but still! Lots of red wine that week...

V-Power ADL......I will travel miles just to find one and have already searched for the nearest one when I move in a couple of weeks !!

No joke from Malvern it's roughly 35-40mins with no traffic...You can either go to the Kidderminster/bham way one. or cheltenham one. seriously can't be worth a trip like that....

or you have Tewksbury 2 motorway junctions down. Rubbish :(

Tesco Worcester or BP or Texaco in Malvern do just fine! :)

Basically where I live(Malvern) shell is non existent. :( I'd use it if it was close but it's just too far.

Are you guys talking about that Shell motorist app? It doesn't seem to work on Android...

Yeah, but from the Tewkesbury side of Malvern where I will be, it's a short blast along the Tewkesbury road ( A438? ) which is a fantastic road ( sod the M50 ).... it's 5mins to the Shell station in Tewkesbury...Happy days !
