What's a good wax to get for a black Audi?

Yeah I'd like to know what a good wax is that's not gonna cost a mortgage say a top draw budget wax? Sorry to hijack the thread

I use collinite 476s, im no expert but was really impressed with, it will also last you ages. The shine from it was excellent, im sure others will say different but for £15 you carnt go wrong

What a question! You will not get a consensus at all. Chances are whatever wax you buy you will be impressed with. It's all down to personal taste. It's best to ask juciy jen in the detailing section or read some of the guides, not having a black car I cant advise you.

I have a grey car and I use turtle wax which I bough from Halford. It looks shiny but not shiny enough,I also want to buy something that will make the car super shiny (though the car is 8 years old)

I've used a few wax's but my personal favourite is Harly Wax off eBay. The gloss this stuff gives is ridiculous, lasts a good few months too (the gloss) and you can still see the wax beading after 5 months.

Best off all, its proper cheap!

tempted by the steak :yum:

think the thread lost its way, me said mod not how to wax my car (which is white btw) surely there be something??

just bought bright white halogens from trups for the plate N8, where you get the led ones that are error free??

just bought a brand new Black edition lad, so its still nice and shiney inside

anyone else?

i use Auto Glym High Def wax and its great stuff, made my black MG ZR have a mirror finish and just bought some more, at the moment halfords have 3 for 2 on all chemicals if you wanted to stock up on cleaning products.

Id go for wind-deflectors personally.

+1 on wind deflectors

New panel filter and cold air feed? Gear knob? Couple of tins of plasti-dip and go mad.

at last something other than wax  but not keen on wind-deflectors:laugh:

gear knob, that's an idea, will have a look in a bit

the standard gearknob is fine, dont ruin it with a halfords piece of gash on a stick. pressed plates? number plate surrounds?

TT-S or TTRS gear knob, but then again it's more than £40

short shifter?

Paint for your calipers

Facelift (actually a TT version) headlight switch with the chrome (if you don't already have it)

A new hollister t-shirt :)

I agree ollie86rn. It's an ace product. But got to keep it off the black trim otherwise it leaves a white residue.
So it'd be ideal for 'Black Ed' models..lol
