Hi All,

I hope all is well here .. Maybe off topic but i need help getting my C250's alloy repaired .. After 7 months of ownership i kerbed one of the rear ones last weekend giving way to a bus .. And was well ****** off plus had it washed and cleaned an hour before. Ive been told they have a diamond cut finish and cannot be smart repaired but dealer says otherwise and quoted me £75 + Vat. So if some one knows anyone in West Yorkshire near Leeds or Wakefield area please let me know .. Some recommended me AP Tyres in Rotherham AP Tyres, Rotherham Tyres, Alloy Repairs Yorkshire Spoke to them earlier they said they can do smart repair etc. But i thought ask on here as the fellow members on this forum have an extensive knowledge regarding everything to be honest. Ive attached the pics of the damage.

Thanks

Sal

How dare you? shame on you! :whip:

bringing monstrous pics of that thing on this forum :p

sorry i cant help but im sure someone will be along soon.

Even if it needs refurbed rather than just touched up, £75 +VAT is steep.

ps Nice looking Merc you've got there

That merc is nice man! Very tempting...

With regards to the smart repair, sounds a bit steep. It's only really a very minor mark, if I was in your shoes i probably wouldn't even bother. I would just get them done properly if i kerbed them again.

I know i might leave it until the right option comes up but ive read on few forums that once the diamond cut alloy gets damaged they can corrade very quicky .. ive cleaned them and applied the touch up laquer to be on the safe side. Thanks mate :D

Full diamond cut refurb on that wheel your looking @ around £100 really Sal.

I guess that is the best option available plus im reluctant to pay £75+Vat to dealer for smart repair when i can get full refurb for almost that amount.

Personally i would never pay, £100 to have that little mark refurbed. Even if it does corrode It'l,l still only cost you £100 to get the whole wheel refurbed further down the line..

Have you got a spare wheel brother?

My apology for late reply .. I havet got a spare wheel plus got rid of space saver as im running runflat. :(

Yeah im goona go for full refurb as im not connvinced with smart repair dealers are offering .. Plus might sleep over it and do it in near future.
