abit too close to home for you then lol...it's globe road carparks, theres 3, I parked my 56 plate A3 there all last year but it clearly wasnt as good as the white one

Thanks hun me too x

Just seen that you parked it in the car park near bridge water place, that is literally 2 mins walk from my work. Hope you get it sorted out pretty sharpish!

It was Globe Road car park 2 (theres 3 all next to each other) down water lane near bridgewater place,. im from sheffield so dont know the area x

Hello from a fellow sheffielder, sorry to hear whats happened thats terrible, there were two break in's 2 week ago in my village where one was foiled but the other car up the road they manage to take the keys but have never heard of it been done like this before

and park it in forwards, makes spec lifting harder, which is how i assume this one was taken as a flatbed truck winch would have no issue if the handbreak was on but a 2 wheel spec lift needs it off so the rear wheels roll

2TSN3.jpg

break window, brake off, push on, 2 straps and away

not that this would bother thiefs but specs are no good for quattro's

Sorry to hear about the theft, hope they get caught!

Hello, what area are you from?? im hearing more about audis going everyday, makes me wonder why i want another one?

Ive never heard of them being nicked like this either, but it's happened so it must be possible.

If they want a car they will take it no matter what so just get what you want and be very very careful with it...I hope they die a slow and painful death after making me feel like this...they will get caught, maybe not this time but one day they will x

Sorry to hear the scummers have had your car, Sarah. :(

I live in Leeds and I can tell you, it's full of bone idle wasters who will do ANYTHING other than work to make a living.

It's just SO **** when you can't even leave your car in broad daylight without these oxygen robbing little cretinous ****ers thinking they have a god given right to take it.

I feel for your situation even more as you had such a long wait for it and have hardly had the time to enjoy it :(

For what its worth, I hope the thieving ****ers responsible are caught, but not by the police. They need to be caught whilst trying to rob a car by the owner and his four 6' 5" mates returning from the 'gym.

The thieving lil' scumbags. I cant believe there are people out there that think they can just go and take something that someone else has worked so hard for, just because they have no morals or intuition to aquire one legally of there own. I hope these people are caught red handed, not by the police (because they useless) but by a very irrate owner with a baseball bat.

I'm very sorry to hear that Sarah and i hope insurance pays out and you're soon back on the road in an Audi. As you work close by i am assuming you park there on a regular basis. If so i have my suspicions that they have been watching it for a while now and looking for the best opportunity to take it. If the police were to set a capture vehicle they would have to following a similar pattern of parking there for several weeks to tempt the thieving gits in.

Update

Things are moving fairly quickly, Audi Insurance received all the paperwork and the keys today, ive accepted the replacement car offer and was adviced to contact Audi for them to try and find me a car, Leeds Audi have managed to locate three

Ive got to have a face to face meeting with a loss adjuster and give a statement which will hopefully be this week.

it must suck, losing the car you've looking forward to but at least now you can get another. just think you'll have had 2 A3 BE's result.
Got mine delivered on Saturday morning, it was ok but now it better having done some work on sunday.

You going for the same colour and spec?

I live in one of those...er .... councill estates in Leeds and have done all my life, I have also worked all my life, so Leeds isnt quite full of bone idle wasters!.

..... and to be honest the criminals would have been organised (different caliber to "bone idol wasters") and prob not even from Leeds.

Anyway I agree I hope they get cought, but the only way anyone will catch them is by setting up a sting.

Makes me feel sick to the stomach this, I can't even begin to imaging how you must feel. I have the same car (model/colour) and it really is an eye opener into the lengths they go to do this, especially in broad daylight.

I hope you get things sorted ASAP.

**** WARNING GUYS !!! **** My brothers white A3 Black edition has been stolen from his drive this mornin !!! They broke into his house in worksop this morning, took his keys an took his car !! Nothin else was stolen so im guesing sum thieving scum r after these cars !!! Guard em with your lifes an keep safe :)

No way - I'm actually thinking of more security measures I can take on my car now (not that it will probably make any difference, as the saying goes - if they want it, they'll get it) - any idea's though?!

Unfortunately there's not a lot you can you do as it seems these car's are being stolen to order and it's not your average low life scum doing it. Couple of guys on the BMW forum are using the Disklok devices and installing aftermarket alarms think it was Viper, there's also been a bit of discusion about the Blackjax system as well. I never mentioned (or refered to) "council estates" in my post, so come down off your high horse!

I've lived and worked in Leeds all of my life, and its a hole. If property isn't screwed down, it WILL be nicked. And I don't care What area of Leeds we're talking about. If I could afford to move away, I would.

I hate having to leave my car in the center of Leeds, and when I have to, its left in "The Light" carpark - from which I don't think there has been a single instance of vehicle theft since it opened ? Not cheap, but offers peace of mind that your motor will be there when you return to it.

I totally agree but from sheffield it's not much better, I live in a nice area which just attracts the scum from the bad area...so where ever you live theres always a risk..

Id not even got used to driving it thats the sad thing...i loved it sooooo much and burst into tears when i went into Audi garage today and saw his twin..xxx[

Make me sick too hun....keep a close eye on your car (theres a girl from sheffield with her eye on it lol) seriously though just be carefull, these are going everyday xx

having recently sold my 8l s3 and buying an 09 a3 white black edition im starting to regret it as I feel sick reading the posts about 3 cars Being nicked within afew days of each other, I'm actually thinking of selling it just because of this reason.😖

its really sad to hear this happening again & again I think the best solution to prevent this is fitting a tracker device to the car anyone come across any good deals or had one fitted that they could recomend im sure that alot of us on this forum would consider this after hearing about these crimes

OMG i really feel for him love, Pass on my regards...its worse when they enter your house for keys, knowing someone has been in makes ya sick, these are stolen to order not by ya everyday smack heads for a quick joyride, these are organised gangs who need stopping...when i get my new one it's having the best tracker on it, a steering lock, handbrake lock and a wheel clamp and ive ordered an electic garage door today..shouldnt have to but i aint having this feeling again...

Hope he gets it sorted as soon as possible, start your own thread about it, it will make others more aware love xx

it makes me so mad, while im sat at work they wa nicking my car!!! i never thought it would happen to me!! as everyone doesnt.

ive only parked there twice wednesday and thursday, and it went thursday so cant have been watching it that long, they just copped lucky, if it wasnt mine i think the 10 plate that was next to me would have gone..just blame myself for leaving it there...

ive already said my new one can be parked in the same place if the police are willing to watch it all day...i walked to the carpark yesterday to put notes on all the other audi's that was parked there and I reported a man who was in a suit in a fiat 500, looking at the car park on the phone, he might have just been parked up on the phone but ya never know...not going t0 be in an audi is he coz he would stand out a mile and something so little could catch them xx

another sheffielder haha..mine isnt leaving the show room without a tracker, i was stupid not to have one but i never thought it would happen to me..

Electric garage door ordered, steering wheel lock, handbrake lock and wheel clamp all ordered, ill have to get up an hour earlier to unlock everything but im gunna make it has hard as poosible for them.....saying that they must have just lifted mine up so they would do it again with all the lock on it....xx

Its just a shame that people are put off by the stories but at least it makes you aware...i seriously thought about getting an older TDI sport, ive just sold my 56 plate last week so gone from 2 A3's to none in a week...I dont want to put my family in danger or be paranoid about leaving it...but why should we have to live like this...what are the policce actually doing about it....my case has been "filed" but if someone is caught it will be re-opened!!! shocking....!!! x

You have the same baby as me :( people have suggested turning your steering so you wheel is sticking out when parked, makes it harder to tow...handbrake on tight and 1st gear...someone mentioned this further up..im always going to keep an eye out when walking back to it incase anyone is following me and if someone does approach you for the keys throw them into trees or as far as you can, run and phone police....sounds drastic but after reading alot on internet thats what people have done..coming to something when you have to think like this coz of a car....instead of a firstvaid kit in the audi they should come with a gun lol xx

Im getting exactly the same, I remember saying in 2008 that i will have a brand new audi in 2012 and ive saved and saved for it and ive got one,(had one) waited months for it all to have it taken away in 2 months, it wont feel as special when i get the replacement, cant have my private reg back for a year and now gunna be living in fear, but im not being defeated by these scummers!!! I will ahve another one, just do things very differently to try and prevent this x

another update..

leeds audi have reserved me a car, only one left apparently.. ive left a deposit on it and they will hold it for 2 weeks...ive just go to get on to the insurance to send the loss adjuster out to see me as they want a verbal face to face statement..if this isnt sorted in 2 weeks max, that car will have to be put back on the system and dont know what ill end up with as i dont want a new shape in september and they wont be doing the black edition..so i need Audi insurance to understand that these cars are limited stock....fingers crossed xxx

Been on the phone all morning and finally got intouch with the loss adjuster and he is coming to my home tomorrow at 6pm, he then will pass the statement onto my insurance and get the ball rolling, I have left a deposit on a replacement car and the insurance have said that once they have the statement they will then deal with Audi in Leeds regarding this car...so i could be back in an audi next week or week after.....always a bank holiday when you could do without one haha...feeling slightly better about things now...i would recommend ringing insurance every hour like I have done otherwise they will just sit on it x

We have recently taken ScorpionTrack on board! So much cheaper that Cobra plus loads more features.

I have a demo unit in my car which has given me such piece of mind. Plus I get the added benefit of knowing where my car is whenever I want. These units are really accurate, when it's on my drive it shows on my drive. :D They can even be picked up when in container ships apparently.

Oh and your car will text you if it detects its being moved without ignition!!

You can expect to pay £299+VAT+Installation.

Yearly is £130 inclusive and lifetime subscription is around £370 I think.

Hope that helps y'all with some info.

I know a lot of people are on about internal security messures but i think one of the best deterrents if you have a drive are security posts, multi camera's,a lot of peoples houses are broken in to through the rubbish door barrels which used to be insurance approved anything from 10 upto 1 year ago but the new ones are super designed compared, always worth having a word with a proper locksmiths rather than places like b&q,they were telling me the doors were easier to get in than the windows and basically could be done silently just by where the old barrel outer used to snap off leaving the internal bar stuck out they can just turn with long nose pliers and even the old undrillable ones were to be put one way quite easily drilled

Then there are things like hidden fuel cut offs or like i have the giac hand held flasher with the kill software on it but i dont use it as if they were going to break in i would rather them do it and get out as quick as without them been hung round with risk of family or pets or anything getting hurt
