The whole grill or just the S-Line emblem

hardly custom is it ... sorry custom is ment to be one of a kind .... black and silver do work well together looks nice

Hate to **** on your chips but custom according to the dictionary "to make (something) according to a customer's individual requirements" which he has done.

If he had said unique "exsiting as the only one or as the sole example; single;" or "One of a kind" then you would be correct.

Agree though, it has been done alot and does look good.

Well, I would say that a 'custom' grill that was 'custom made' would be expected to be a individually crafted grill. Maybe it is though , in which case it's an excellent job as they have replicated an Audi one perfectly! ;)

Still, good looking grill though.

Take it up with the dictionary

maybe the word here is cutomize not custom .. custom things are one offs .. i do like the black on silver works well

Holy cr*p!

What I should have said is, custom grille, and yes it's just painted, but, custom like some nice person pointed it, is to make the original different, better, so it's been customised!!!!

Sorry to cause a big debate, it's just a grille! That I think looks ****** good!

And I won't scrap the sline badge, it's cool. Thank you.

Lets all pull the guy to peices,
think it looks sweet mate,
and the black s-line grills a new one on me,,, not for me, but it looks nice and individual all the same !

no ones pulling anyone to peices here ...... im only saying its not custom.....

Guys, lets leave the dictionary definitions aside and concentrate on the grille :icon_thumright:

sorry, i meant the black s-line badge looks different,, done the black surround myself,,
instantly makes the care look better in my opinion !

Classic forum banter. I appreciate the work you have done and think it looks good. I like the badge, a subtle variation on the original classic.

it's a sport not an s line if i put a rs4 badge on a tdi its would get the **** took just the same...... simples...

love the grille though custom customised what ever it looks sweet

Oh, sorry, if it isn't an S-Line then the rules are rules about badges.

Good job with the grill - Shame Audi don't do a "Sport" badge would have been nice to have them on my car.

This is causing a caffufal!!!

Yes, slap my asse, it's not an s line, but I liked the black badges so bought them, simple.
And, they don't do a sport badge in black, and red, that subtle, and that cool, oh, and it's my car, so I can paint it pink, paint a banana on the bonnet, and drive around with a panda costume if I want!
so ner ner ne ner ner!

Thank you for the supportive comments, and not fussed about the other not so supportive comments.

I will be checking your rides out closely!!

:hubbahubba:

I did mine at least two years ago with Hammerite spray paint. I reckon they last a year before the chips make them look tatty. I've redone my top one, but the bottom I've put off as its bonded in now. Its a dead easy job to pop the surround off, re-key it and dust it over though, the hard work is in the initial spray.

I've hear good things about Plastikote.
