niiiiice rhys bet that goes like s*@t off a shovel , fair do's thats one smooth curve too good job dude

Cheers Fran. Very pleased with the result. The only difference between the last run and this one are brand new injectors :) I reckon if it wasn't so hot today it may well have cracked the 200bhp mark.....

yeah man it was mega hot today no good for power runs good job tho bud

Fair play mate, good figures. Just couldn't get that 0.9 though but on a cooler day it would of been more anyway!

Brill looking car mate!! Quick question roughly how much was the cruise control conversion? Parts only - PM me if you like

Been a while since I last updated this.......

Ran my cheapo 16's and winter tyres throughout winter and I think they saw about 2 days of snow lol. on those two days though, not once did I get stuck so very impressed overall :)

18's went back on over the weekend which created a whole host of problems as two tyres places couldn't balance my wheels properly!! It's been a case of 4 times lucky in getting my wheels balanced.........(one place failed twice hence the 4!)

Thankfully my mate Darren knew of a place so we went there today :) Also had 4 wheel alignment carried out so it drives absolutely spot on

Looking good on the ramps! What was the problem that prevented the other tyre places from performing the alignment?

Cheers! Shame it's absolutely filthy lol

Not using the right tools for the job judging by what I was told at the last place. A combination of not using the right wheel holder and not clamping the wheel properly to the machine using a full face flange plate. That and they didn't stick the weights on straight! They didn't even bother to try and hide the weights either!!

Drove to work this morning and it was so smooooooooooooooth! Love it! :D

And is the steering wheel striaght now, that is one thing that really bugs me when the steering wheel is off centre in a straight line!!

Yeah. Its quite suprising how different your car will feel after a correct wheel alignment. Happy days!

It drives lovely! Luckily the alignment wasn't a mile out, it was the lack of balanced wheels that was ruining it :( All sorted now in time for the better (hopefully) weather!

Dead straight ;) I watched them set it all up and had a good natter with the blokes; they know their stuff for sure  They have the latest Hunter alignment system too :)

Ah all good then mate... Can't be long until a show of some sort is near?

The colour of those wheels are EXACTLY what I was looking for! Sorry if I've missed it already mentioned, but what colour are they exactly?

I'm in South Wales too, so may very well check out that company in Cwmbran. If you don't mind me asking, how much did it cost for refurb and spray?

Cheers,
James

Yeah well pleased :) Not sure what show's I'll be going so mostly likely Volksfest in June will be my first

Hi James

I got them done at The Wheel Specialist; they call it Gunmetal Grey. My mate who runs a paint shop reckons its very similar to United Grey found on the MK5 Golf

I paid £250 for stripping wheels, powdercoating and re-fitting tyres and balancing etc but I was a returning customer :)

Whereabouts in South Wales you from?

I'm in Swansea mate

So that's a powder coat? I presumed it had been sprayed! My local powder coater reckons it's not possible to get that metallic look with powder coat, only flatter shades of grey.... I had a feeling he was talking sh*t! But it's ace mate. Exactly the colour I am after.... I'll have to get in touch with them!

I also love the carbon fibre wrapped grille and rear diffuser you've done. That's something I'd like to do in time, but I wouldn't know where to start to be honest! The whole removing bumpers and stuff is out of my limits

Yep a complete powder coat; the finish is superb

I was lucky with the carbon fibre as a mate did it for me; removing the bumper was easy as we put it on a 4 post ramp :D

where is this place rhys mate i need to have mine done , do they cater for lowered cars too i.e. set it up for being lowered ta buddy

no idea mate; really can't work it out :(

Got a mate who is a sprayer so waiting on him. His wife has just bought a new car which needs mapping so I'm hoping to do a deal........

Sounds like a plan then and should soften the blow a bit...

So this week the car went into Dean's for him to work his magic.....

If you're in South Wales and need body work done give Dean @ Autoscuffs a shout :icon_thumright:

Let's see how long it gets to stay like that.....

Looks good, god knows how it blends into the original paintwork so well????

Dude! Car is looking sweet :) RNS is lovely! Do they come with AMI or is that an extra that you have to buy if you want it?

AMI is an addition, but only to RNSe 2010 or later - the newer 'media' versions.
