Hello all,

I have finally picked up my new A3 black edition with lots of toys. It's a 170 Quattro and I love it, it's such a smooth car to drive. Ordered in December and picked her up today from Bristol Audi which I have to say have been first class from the start until the end!

Here is the spec I ordered

Vienna Leather Upholstery
Comfort Package
Technology Pack
Door Mirrors; Electrically adjusted and heated
High-Beam assist
Adaptive Headlights
Tyre pressure monitor
Interior light package
Non smoking package
Aluminium Gear knob
Heated Front & Rear Seats
Electric Lumbar support
Mobile telephone preparation – Low

Here are a few pics of my old one and a few quick iPhone pics of the new one. Will add a few more after the full detail she is having done once I get back from my hols.

One thing I have found odd is the sat nav just randomly changes the volume when it feels like it. I read some where about the gala but it is odd, will have to sort that out as its already started to do my head in but the rest of the car is amazing!

I am going to my my petrol Fr but with the miles I do I can't afford to run the petrol turbo's anymore...... For now anyway.

I have a few plans for the new one which I have picked up on here so will add it to this thread as and when.

All comments welcome!

Love it. You wont want to sleep tonight, lol. Safe driving Si. X

It's been a long wait but we got there m8. Great car superb spec, now it's time to enjoy.

What a beauty

BTW You need some fuel :)

Cheers all!

Next stop petrol station! At least it will last longer than the Leon!

Anyone got any idea on the random volume issue?

Thanks for all the kind comments!

It is just Gala. You can turn it off in the sound settings or via VCDS. No biggie...

Cheers mate.

I haven't yet had a good play with the settings. Where can it be changed. Everytime I press car or setup I just get a version no. Going to have a good read up of the manual tonight I think. I assume I can change how long the lights stay on for etc like I could with my old Leon?

Cheers,
Si

Lovely car, and it's a quattro

I have had the DSP option added via VCDs and just to let you know, the volume issue is still there, would be grateful if you could share an actual resolve for this issue! It is well known to exist with RNS-E and Bose on black edition vehicles. Gala being turned off does not resolve the volume issue!!!!

Cheers for the info, I thought I had read people had added that and it had been resolved? Hope I can get it done as that will do my head in after time.

Cheers,
Si

Has anyone got any idea on this volume issue? I read the manual earlier and the menu option isn't there if you have Bose. It is driving me nuts, it has a mind of its own. You can be doing 40 down a street and all of a sudden it goes up really loud... I have to sort it out before it drives me even more nuts.

Cheers all,
Si

This is a very annoying feature on the RNS-E shat nav with bose mate.. - you can enable the dsp option, gala and all the rest of it with VCDS, but this doesn't sort the problem. AFAIK Paddy managed to get it sorted, but it is a wiring thing that he had his car back into audi for, can't be sorted with coding by the looks of it. There is a thread on here about it somewhere.

Nice car btw :icon_thumright:

Thanks mate, I will be going back to see what they say as its insane that you should have to put it up with it. It is so random it doesn't make any sense at all.

Still love the car loads mind you!!

Cheers,
Si

Nice :)

warren_s3 did a build thread on his s3, there is a lot of info in that thread on the Gala, he sorted it with coding (currently on phone sorry or I would of gotten you a link).
