I'm looking at the A3 range and i see that on auto trader its possible to get a A3 TDI Quattro 170. I didn't think they did a quattro diesel, so i had a look on audi uk on build your audi just to make sure but im unable to find it....

So is it possible to even get one or are some of the adds on the auto trader just getting it mixed up with the S3?

Sorry it might be a noob question to you guys lol.

Nope. Its not a mistake, you can get the 170 tdi quattro A3.

Why is it not available to buy brand new then? Is it in its own trim line like SE, SPORT, and S-Line? If so what are the specs as to obviously the quattro because i know the S-Line has lower suspension to the sport.

Cheers :)

Could be because the new A3 is coming out soon, so they are limiting the selections on the 8P range?

I've also got a 170 Diesel Quattro :)

Still sh!t scary in the snow though, although i was driving on the motorway :-D

Sound good :p Ill be on the lookout for a S-Line black edition a3 quattro soon then! :)

I don't know where your looking, but I just had a look at the configurator online and the only A3 you can't buy quattro seems to be the 1.6 Technik. All the rest are available in quattro.

As for spec, if you can afford it, always go for the black edition. The extras over every other spec are worth it by miles.

I'm looking here. The Audi Configurator - Intro

Cant find it anywhere....
They all say front wheel drive.

Yeah the 3 door seems to have limited it's models since the announcement of the new A3 coming out, I noticed this the other day. The SB still has all the options though I think?

Ah :s cant be having a 5 door. Just doesn't look as good!

I also have a 3-door A3 Ambition S-line 2.0 TDI quattro 125 kW and I love it to pieces. Best option to go if you want fuel economy and loads of fun. It's like having 2 cars for one, one is very economical and the other is a decisive beast that drives on rails :D

I completely disagree. I personally much prefer the look of the sportback, especially with the roof rails. Mini-avant. Stunning motor.

The 3 door just doesn't look as good, and that from someone who usually prefers 3 door models.

In all fairness, I was looking at the sportbacks though, as I wouldn't be buying a 3 door myself.

My 2012 A3 Quattro 170 tdi :anbet:

Complete with roof rails for the mini-avant look !
