GTI Inters 2012 23/24 Of June -=: Official DiscussionThread:=-

I'm camping mate, both days. Will aim to get to site around 7pm on Friday loaded up with a lot of booze, a BBQ, and a Turkish man who is a dab hand at cooking :beerchug:

I think we will need to all arrive at similar times so we can camp near each other as the marshalls will just line us up first come first served.

Im thinking about camping but not sure as my buddy cant make it this time so il be a saddo on my own :( as I dont know that many asn guys.

Chris.

:rockwoot::beerchug:lets get this asn camp village going folks! the more people the better! it will be such a laugh i can guarentee it! plenty of like minded idiots and plenty of beer and food! what more could we want, beer, food, and cars!

Exactly. Scott turned up on his own to AITP and he just windmilled in with everyone else!

Yup.
I spent 4/5 hours on my own.

Hmm, only a month to go, I aiming to be there for both days. Work commitments means no camping for me, but I'm only an hour away, so not a problem.

Cold ones?

Yeah.
wrap them up in Tin foil and shove them on the BBQ.
The rolls. the crackers are ok cold

If thats ok Jo.
Just let me know the price.

I'm going to try and bring up some pasties, slices and rolls from ginsters as well.
What other food/drink could we bring?
Be great to get a nice selection of food. lol

Ok I'm in camping for me just got my tent out the loft lol.

Chris.

OK guys, will check with the Mrs when I get home (away this week) and confirm. Camping is sounding good though. Not sure about prepping cars, but definitely liking the sound of cracking open the beers!

Bring on the pasties too Scott!

i am definitely down for the sunday but trying to shrug off work commitments so i can make the camping! lets see how much beer you can get in an S3 :icon_thumright:

Just checked out the GTI Inters website and realised that you have to pay for both days if you camp over. That's a bit poor because I was only planning to come on Sunday (ie arrive early Sat eve and camp that night). It only makes sense to camp if you're there for Sat & Sun, so will need to re-think my plans. Really want to camp over but that'll mean either a whole weekend blocked out or paying an extra £28 to put a tent in a crappy field just for 1 night!

OK, have checked with the wife (has to be done) and I have a weekend pass! Hooray! So I've bought a weekend ticket with camping on Sat night. Will most likely arrive around 1-2pm on Sat. Bring it on! PLEEEEASE be dry and warm! Looking forward to it.

Nice one Doctor.

Bit of in for you you all.

1, Can campers park their cars next to where they pitch their tent? YES

2, Has each club got their own camp area? NO - so space doesn't get wasted you just go to the next available pitch, they are not actually marked out because we don't know the size of your tent.

3, Is there any set entry and exit times for non-campers? No-one can go into the camping area unless they have a camping wristband

4, Does each club camp next to, near or on their club stand? NO - they are not close

Did you call them?
Point number 2... They said every club will get their own camping area, but this won't be confirmed till they have a final figure for each club.

Dropped them a email.

I thought it was a bit odd.
I questioned it again but to be fair, with people being able to turn up on the gate and camp, they can never truly know the amount of space each club will need.

We'll just spread out as much as possible for other ASNers.

When I spoke to them all they said was the club area will be determined by the number of people pre booking. Ie if ASN have 15 people camping then 15 spaces will be allowed for. Anyone not pre booking and turning up on the day will just be a first come first serve basis.

That makes a bit more sense I think.
We'll see on the day.

I'm still waiting for my tickets.

With the club stand and camp sites being apart, is it possible to move cars from the camp site to the stand each morning and evening? YES, you will need to move to the club area before 9am.

Is it just one big field and we all camp where we can? Sort of, when you arrive you will be pointed to the next available space, you may be able to save some space for your friends, just talk to the marshals when you arrive.

Good man! Camping both days or just 2 day passes?

OK, so if there's no club camping space then we'll ned to know who's arriving when. It'll be way better if we can all camp in one area together. I'll not be there until early Sat afternoon I suspect so I'm counting on you lot to save me a space. About the size of an S3, plus a bit more for a tent will do it!

Doc any one else. I'm aiming to get there bout 17:00 ish friday.
I think Westy, jay and my self is going to try and meet out side the gates and convoy in.
If any one else is able to meet up and camp together I think it be best.

I'm also going to try and reserve a couple more pitches next to ours for the Saturday campers and late arrivals.

Wasn't there about 50 people coming last year by this point?

Theres only 15 in the list shouldn't we all push it more?

Yup.
But I don't like spamming forums.
They each have their own sections for a reason.
You're more than welcome to though.

Its even less than that. The email I got from GTI inters people says about 10 people have bought their tickets in advance.
I guess everyone else is waiting to buy them on the gate. Which seems silly cause it will cost them more.

Last year we spammed the whole forum with the event details, but it's not my job this year!... Scottie...... ;)

I can't post in other sections but this is the show section, so show threads should go in here.
I can't really stop you from doing it though. :)

Of course you are mate, do you have the power to lock threads? If not, start a load with a link to this thread, and I will lock them for you. (all you need to do is ask! ;))

Not only will it cost them more, they can't park with the ASN crew neither....

Some sections.
Not all.
There is already a post in the 8L section and B5 section.
I'll spam the others, even though I don't agree with it!!

That's a shame.
