A3 2.0 TDI TURBO PROBLEMS, CAN ANYONE HELP?

i know this topic has been mentioned before ive searched the threads but cant find a definite answer to my problem,

every time the turbo kicks in it whines on the way down? kinda like a duck sound

no engine management light has come on and sometimes the turbo keeps cutting out like there aint enough air or somet getting to
it?

is it defo the turbo need replacing or is there any other checks i can do on it

had same problem... i think its stick vien thing... i just got a new one...

i have a new/refurb unit i ordered 2 by mistake... my audi is a 53 plate 140bhp with bkd...

where is the turbo located?

Yes that will work with yours, but many have clogged veins = Sticking actuator. That turbo is sold with no warranty and unless you collect/try in person you won't know if knackered till you already have it. Best getting a known good one or recon unit.

your right .. but this was bought as a new refurb unit mate.. looks spankers..
