Been offered a franken mani for £180 delivered that close to buying it for my s3 just thought I would look into it before spending out :)

poor flow as measured how Andrew

Flow benched it?

(and yes I am very familiar with what it looks like having modded and fitted one many months ago)

I am not going to recommend any k04 manifold on here publicly.

They all have their pro's and cons in my personal experience.

FT k04 ex mani is in use on Dougs own TT which runs a hybrid K04 of his own, and is pushing it hard as a test mule. His power is higher than most. (USA dyno's I know, so Dyno Lottery ++ applies) but its working for him

Relentless/XS thing.... flows well, but its longevity and consistency of quality and fitment for me remains a big ?

It bottle necks massively at the collector i was told

so anecdotal

Q> caused misfires did it from the bottle neck? Higher timing pull on cyl 4? or any other?

Please be carefull with comments which cannot be supported by actual evidence.. facts and data

ive got the frankenturbo F23 manifold, its yet to be installed looking forward to trying it out

Thats all i was told Bill all in all i don't know what its like in flow. Yes it maybe better flowing than standard but i was just saying it was one of the cons of the manifold. Yes all aftermarket manifolds have there pro's and con's but the best i have seen is the TSR one but the cost of it is just mad

Bottle Necks Massively...
yet

sorry but this kinda throw away comments narks me..

looks and facts/data are'nt the same... and hurtfull to those who actually develop them

Iv just bought TSR manifold honestly workmanship is fantastic really impressed !

runner #2 looks so very close to the stud for access to the nut.. ewwww.
well made of course in fabrication terms.
bulky thing

Yeah thats right but some slight trimming boost pipe support brackets

cyl #4 is usually the 1st to pull timing anyhows as its the hottest cylinder (at end of coolant run thru block)

cyl #2 is the one which can break up if there's a flow issue @ collector or runner as they share with #1
