hi there all well today i fitted my jetex cone filter 80mm neck and all i can say is wow what a great filter, i have used many different kinds of kits on my car, from carbonio to simota and was happy using my pipercross panel filter but thought i would fit my jetex and see what happens, and for my future ko4 conversion, now when i have fitted other bits of kit they have always made me lose some boost of had some issues but this filter was spot on never lost any boost car actually felt more stronger and loved the sound as well, as u can see in the pic i have fitted it within the standard airbox which was already smoothed and drilled and realigned the cold air feed within the box, i must say another great mod to the car and cant wait now to start the k04 journey!

oh and if anyone needs a pipercross panel filter just ask only done 1000 miles !!

where u get that jetex from pal iv got the other one with the black end not silver and it fatter mine

I split mine jubilee to tight.... Rove the neck of it nearly... lol.... Bit of superglue sorted the job right out...

ebay for £30!! i havent tightened it to much superkarl plus it has a steel neck fitted within for the hose and filter so soon it will be all coming apart for the badger5 tip and k04 !

or thats ok pal iv got one but it looks cheap compared to your wonder what the differnce is like

I ran my jetex filter in the standard airbox before getting my B5 TIP and had no problems!

Have you go any sound clips or video's as I'm contemplating getting one for my car

fyi ive got a mate also into tuning his 1.8t golf.... he's got his paddle clutch that just judders like **** on uptake of drive, he's done the n75 bypass ("the simple way"), fitted his external dump valve, cone filter, manual boost controller.

he also has fitted a boost gauge too....

it now boosts to 1.2 bar but feels slower, kangaroos off the ecu fuel cut if he doesnt feed in the throttle slowly. and generally is ****e.

stop p1ssing about with it and just drive it was my advice.

have you got all of these too? and can you confirm via a rolling road session print out the associated gains of these mods? no? i didnt think so.

Who the fu<k are you? and why the dig at Bobby?

Oh what, don't tell me, your an 'experienced audi mechanic' (your words not mine) so naturally you think you've got a god given right to come on here and talk down at people? It doesn't work like that in the 8L section pal, we're all friends here, we help each other.

Bobby fitted an air filter, hardly a big deal, and now you're having a dig at him? For what exactly? he's an enthusiastic kind of chap, and likes to tell people about stuff. Not a crime is it? If you had bothered to read his ko4 conversion thread you'd see that he's gone about it in a very sensible, careful, and planned way, to avoid any surprises.

A quick scan of your posts suggests that you don't post in this section very often, if you could kindly keep it that way I'm sure everyone would be very grateful.

Your mate sounds like a clueless moron. Infact, with your level of knowledge and superiority, I'm surprised you even acknowledge him as a 'mate'. Surely this could hurt your reputation?

WTF!!! Murran listen I don't know u and have no idea why u have decided to insult me, but do yourself a favour read my threads first before deciding to open your mouth, I'm just showing the decent members on here about my build thread and what steps I'm taking and on the way people can see how I'm doing it and gives them a rough ideas what to do, I'm not claiming big power with the mods I fitted just noticing a difference, now please grow up stop ranting such rubbish and if u want to ask something respectfully I will only be to happy to answer, if that's to hard for you to then I suggest u crawl back under that rock u came from!

THANKS PRAWN!!!

Anyway, moving on from mr-random-guy.com

Bobby - what size neck did you get for the filter. I was watching that filter on Ebay but you got to it first, ******! lol

If its a 80mm neck, did you just buy a 80-70 reducer for it or did you add a alloy joiner aswell.

X2 for the video clip!!

Well mate Its got the 80mm neck came with the alloy joiner and extension hose but I just bought the reducer and fitted it and loving it your more then welcome to meet up and check it out mate
