OFF TOPIC

One more thing:S4 B5 calipers fits only 17 , 18 and 19 inch wheels;if the wheels have ET 45,you need 6mm wheel spacers to clear the calipers.

Hmm you think that would fit a 3.0 quattro tiptronic convertible?

I think the cat back will fit cabby, saloon and avant but you'd be best to phone milltek in the morning and ask. I did when I was offered my milltek and the guy confirmed it would fiit ok. maybe ask about cats at the same to show an interest, even though they definitely don't produce them for a 3.0. "Hi, i've been offered a milltek quad exit cat back from a B6 S4 and want to check that it will fit my 3.0 Q tiptronic cabby and that you can sell me cats too. oh it will fit but you can't provide me with new cats eh? that's a shame. thanks" :)

Don't think you can swap between Auto and Manual. The 8H7 shape of the cabrio and the 8HE of the Saloon/Avants might be different too, but from memory I'm not 100% on that! As far as I know that's the only consideration?

you might be right mate. I wasn't sure if that was the case for the cats or the rest of the system. of course there's always the possibility to do a bit of custom tweaking to make these things fit :)

A bonnet would be great if anyone spots one. Lol.

Thanks.

Power folding mirrors AUDI A4 RH wing DOOR MIRROR 00- ELEC POWER FOLD P358/17 | eBay

Unfortunately they only have drivers side.... cheap too ... not OEM but at least they are Lucas and come with caps and glass too just wish i could source some passenger ones for the same price and we would be Laffin

If they work the same way as OEM you'll need the door modules (window motors and modules are a single unit on each side) and then the switch that turns 180 degrees on your door handle to perform the magic. I have one module, am looking for another at a sensible price and have someone with the pair of folding mirrors that I forgot to contact until I saw your post. so thanks :)

i think i've read somewhere of people wiring them to the central locking unit, taking a feed from the unit to power a timed relay so no need for any modules or switches.... unlock doors and mirrors fold out, lock doors and mirrors fold in,,,,,, would love to do it but that damn passenger door mirror always seems elussive

what happens if you lock the doors while moving though mate? would it fold the mirrors in? (just thinking if I accidentally hit the button to lock or wanted to lock all doors when the kids are in the car).. If you find a link to wiring info i'd be really interested :)

It wouldn't be hard to wire in a relay that opens when ignition is live so they don't operate when the key is in.

Get the 361 relay from a A4/A6/A8 and wire them up the same as the B5.
No need for the door modules and you can wire in the relays for fold/unfold on lock.

I'm currently working on a way to get the mirrors to fold on lock and still use the switch on my B5.
One of the 8P lads went down the correct module route and was unable to get them to fold on lock. He ended up using the 361 relay and wiring them up like us B5ers. :)

definitely votex but just went to double check bumper edge - ran back in and gone!

problem with all these s-line and votex front lowers is none of them ever seem to have the grills with them and thats the expensive bit unless you just want to mesh them out.... think i'm just gonna end up color coding mine
