Fitted the Wideband ecu and did everything was needed, we fitted a RS4 maf in the end and had to cut wire 63? to the ecu to stop fans kicking in all the time

has some problems with the immobilizer to start with then bang its started up, took some time to get the idle right and fueling too, Paul did a run with just 10psi and it made an extra 20bhp from the inlet i made from last time it ran 10psi on the narrow band.

We were about to turn up the boost when it sounded like one of the pulleys bearing for the timing belt started to make a loud squeal and at that time we said we would just end it then at 8 pm

Not as i planned but i'm glad its not the engine making that noise and its just some sort of a bearing in the pulleys?

So Andy Speck will be having a look at it tomorrow to see what the noise was

Paul did say it was looking good and will do 500bhp, Paul was very nice to give me a lift home in his 511bhp R26 megane !!! and i must say that that thing blood shifts !!! I am going to look forward to having 500bhp for myself

Paul also recommend fitting a boost controller so i'm not running 30psi and 500bhp all the time

Me too but i do hope its simple myself I just can't afford a major problem with it right now

The megane has a great chassis and he does have some R888 on the front but they were still cool also he was running low ish boost at about 1 bar for 430/450 bhp ish so not quite 511bhp when i was in it but still ****** fast

Builds like this never go to plan mate... always something and generally always come to light on the dyno... I am sure you will sort it though... :)

<tuffty/>

Its not a light weight crank pulley that's on it

Its a fluidampr pulley, they heavier than the standard ones and are better for are engines

We think it's one of timing belt pulleys?

There's always something, better luck for tomorrow!

Seems to be my favourite recommendation at present but sure it's not the PAS fluid being low? Can sound like just about anything including engine noise. Sure you've topped yours up but thought I'd mention it.

i doubt you will need 30psi to >500bhp............ not with your spec
mid 20's on mine gets mid 500's on 1900cc

I'm still on standard cams and it doesn't rev live a 1800/1900

When it did its first run on 10 psi it made 280bhp at 6500 rpm, it didn't seam like it wanted to rev

But we'll see?

If its anything like the stroker hta3071 LCR which we did a few weeks ago, yours will be a monstor..
summats holding it back if 10psi was only 280bhp tho.. My 12psi actuator pressure on my ibiza is 360bhp on its hybrid gt35 on 1900cc. I expect the map is holding it back, and when its finished, it will be mental...

I only revved the 2ltr stroker to 7800rpm max, peak power on it was just over 7krpm as a comparison. (my 1900cc has 8800rpm hardcut, 8500rpm softcut)

whens it back and being mapped? or is it still there?
really looking fwd to hearing the results from it.. super spec.. and 4wd.. Nice.

I left it there for them to fix the pulley.

When we left it he had only just got the base map sorted and working on it a bit more so it was still early days

It'd be working its nuts off producing that much power and getting pretty hot in the process. Looking forward to seeing how this setup turns out, should be mental. Good luck with getting it sorted mate.

Aye good luck Andrew, hope they get it sorted for you. Cant wait to see how it goes.

630bhp....... Thats just showing off :p

On a side note, best of luck. How is that beast going to handle? I can only imagine an ibiza with that power would be close to suicidal.

You'll need to get some decent tyres on Andrew! My car is lethal in the wet with the cheap stand in tyres i've got at the moment! I can get all 4 wheels spinning if I nail it out of roundabouts :)

thats about the feel of it yes.
I used to run 35psi on its previous GT35... never had a max power figure as we max'd the dyno we were using fo rmapping at the time.. >530kw @ wheels

Mines on 24-25psi currently.. and 545bhp, so if Andrews seriously planning 30psi (which is very high-read hot!) >600bhp should be an achievable number.. mental. :D love it :D

Hardly the UK's fastest S3 though is it? Alex at Storm
built the 3.2 turbo s3 that was about 650bhp! Plus storm have done a 700bhp + 2.5 5 pot s3

Without sounding harsh, I'd never buy that linked S3 based on the advert. 4mm wastegate sounds small too, I'm sure my vacuum hoses are larger...

I'm sure there are more powerful 2.0 TFSI's in the UK? From what I've seen they are way more tuneable than the 1.8s?

In what way? A 2ltr tfsi lump aint going to be cheap. Bang for bucks the 20v has to be the best option.

Oh and @ bill, no wonder yams ibiza ended up in the wall at santapod :(
You guys have brass balls.
