Hi

Has anyone got a working CCM 8EO 959 433 AJ to replace a possibe faulty unit which is bone dry but displays the symptoms of a faulty unit.

Please beaware that the budget is not great.

Any help on the matter is great.

Thank you

Grover

thats an old unit and that part number has slightly changed, i learnt this as i had to do my one, you wont get one 2nd hand as i learnt the hard way, they do cost about £155 from the main dealer and it will need reprogramming to your keys, sorry to be the barrer of bad news but thats the truth mate,

Main dealer price is £289! I know because I just had mine replaced, luckily I sourced out a second hand one after ringing hundreds of breakers.

@ Grover: I know one more person that has the Control Module with our identical part number that you require because I needed the same one. PM me asap!

My original unit is 8EO 959 433 AH and thought the replacement part for this the AJ (ETKA). Didn't know anything about reprogramming? Can we do this in VCDS Lite? If not will like for like for like AH replacement do without any reprogramming?

Thanks in advace

AJ (EKTA) is the current replacements for our cars as far as I'm aware. About reprogramming do you have 2 keys? And also this guy that I spoke to is selling the unit for £80 delivered!

How can I repair the CCM? What is the most commom problem wich lead to CCM fault?
In VAG-COM their's no fault in 46 unit. But the car don't go to sleep mode and it's drain the
battery.
First there was problem with te safety lock, but I repaired that.
Than the sleep mode works for a short time, than again hazard switch blinking and drain the
battery.

Some auto electrician said the he thinks the CCM is faulty. Everything works perfect (I think)
except the sleep mode.

In the attachment you can find the 8E0 959 433 AJ PCB.

Problem solved! Now the current draw is 20-30 mA when the car is in sleep mode (it was 700 mA).
It was a badly installed alarm system, wich one I take completely out and throw away. After that pull out the 09 Central Electric connectors and woala the system activate the sleep mode within 1 minute after lock the car, and no Hazard switch flashing.
This problem was in the car since i bought the car, but didn't noticed that only after the battery died. I took the car to manny technician but noone could solve the problem. These are the local "professionals".....(no comment)

Thank God I didn't bought a CCM like one technician suggested, I knew won't be the CCM faulty (I hoped also).

I hope won't be other problem with the electrical system.
