Buckets...but not Audi Originals....?

Right for some reason, i really want buckets??!!

Now the price of proper audi buckets are...as you know. stupid.

So ive been having a good look around and i have come across these...

Roughly they're £500 per seat plus probably £70 for a fitting kit. They come in various stitching, red, white etc

If you want real leather and not vinyl, your looking at £900ish a seat.

No heating (not that i ever use my heated seats tbf)... and no airbags etc but i still think they will be sweet!!

"Corbeau Sportline RRS"

Anyone had any experience with fitting buckets like this? Easy job?

Have a look at Recaro Sportster CS - according to Recaro that model is the closest you can get to Audi OEM. Just food for thought.

Yep, look good, but twice the price of vinyl ones of these?

Im sure vinyl will do the job just as well. If they do go knackered quickly, a re-trim further down the line wouldn't be too expensive.

so i could have both of the Corbeau's for £1000 ish or just one Recaro Sportster CS for that money :readit:

That looks nice, not liking the Corbeau writting though.

My thoughts exactly, but for the price, i can overlook this. Especially when you could dye the white, black, and so it would just say "corbeau" in the outer red writing.

I'd also order the seats with the red stitching......

Then i'd do the Crimson red dye trick to the steering wheel like on one of the threads on here and it would all match peeerfectly.

And the white inserts (where the holes are) would match my paintwork....IBIS White.. :)

£1000 please?

I cant sleep because of thinking about buckets??

I love these!

Where's the link for buying these???

From my experience of fitting buckets to cars. One of the things you need to look at it is the seat belt pre tensioners. Have a look at where the seatbelt clip is mounted and where the wiring for the pre tensioner goes. I had to fabricate a new bracket one and re-route the wiring as the seat and seat belt was all one piece. This stopped the airbag light from being on all the time.
You won't want harnesses for everyday use as it will drive you mental. If you drop anything in the passenger footwell or it slide across the passenger seat your done. Plus it's tricky reversin too.
Nice buckets though :)

Yeah your right, i'm definitely not gonna have a harness! needs to be your normal seatbelt.

So was it a difficult job to make this bracket and re-do this wiring?

ilim - Corbeau SPORTLINE RRS RECLINING SPORTS SEATS ALL LEATHER OR LEATHER/ALCANTARA CorbRRSLTR Only £459.01

Theres various websites that sell them, this is just one. ^

If you cant sleep that's a sign you need these in your life :p Once you get them, get some photos up
Think with a retrim they could look a lot better.

So its about £900 each for leathers? where as the Audi ones are leathers, heated and direct fit with airbags which with a keen eye and some good timing you can get for about £1500 - £1800? and some are even electric like the one that sold last week in Scotland for £1600!

Those seats, minus the 'Corbeau' and the grey plastic seatbelt holes, I could work with.
But as it currently stands, they look too 'Britax'.

You know what those seats are pretty nice imho, I'm a big Recaro fan myself. Ash makes a very valid point though, for 1500 - 1800 you coud have electrically adjustable leather heated RS4 buckets  I actually prefer the Recaro CS because they are much slimmer than the OEM RS4/R32/TT/S3 buckets.

£1800 - offers accepted these won't stick about long!

autostyle type RS6, essentially the same seat as the Corbeau without the bits you don't like, and @ £245 or cheaper in most cases per seat ;)

CS's don't come in electric, and heated is pretty rare as not many people spec them as its an expensive option.... just wear some thick boxers in the winter haha

LOL! yh some long johns too :lmfao:

im just thinking if i was to spend that amount of money on seats i would want it all in there...

Cheers matey! Do you have a link for these?

If your going to re-trim them then give these guys a call because the orange and black are on sale ones for €160 each! But, they say they're on back order so best to have a word... If they can get them to you for £300 or so it's worth a shot I'd say! :eyebrows:

These guys seem to be UK based and sell them for £245 each I'm sure you could get them to reduce slightly quoting pries from manufacturers website.

Thanks for that.

If i were to go for these i'd certainly get them re done. I know a vaguely know a bloke who works for "Morgan" who does their interiors. So might be able to sort something out.

The thing that worries me is the pre-tensioners and airbag bits etc... im not clue'd up on these at all.
