Help on buying a 2003 A4 Avant 1.8t Sport (190) ALLOY ISSUES

I am looking to buy a second hand 2003 A4 Avant 1.8t Sport (190) privatly, the alloy wheels shown are 17inch 5 spoke wheels, with Vortex side skirts and bumpers..

My question is:

Should this model come with the 18inch 12 spoke alloy wheels? NOT the 17inch 5 spoke wheels the seller is advertising, has he changed them? If so should I offer a lower price than he is selling for.

Im pretty sure mine avant with the votex kit came standard with the 17" 5-spokes.

I think the s-line spec. cars had the chunkier 18" RS6 style 5-spoke wheels.

Hi Mate,

I see its in the right section now. You wouldnt be the first person to confuse the models. Anyway; looking at the link to the car it looks it great condition, I believe the wheels are the correct ones for that model. I would pay more attention to the tyres (which look new on the front).

the 5 spokes come with that model
but its a 2003 prob been round a few owners if they did come with 18's they may have been changed by a previous owner
i dont think you could ask for money off cos of it haveing 5 spoke alloys

Yeah Im not sure on whether to be cheeky and ask to drop the price, just from what the chap in my office told me, hes an Audi freak by the sounds of it, so just checking with you guys with what he told me about the wheels

The car is not a t sport or sline......... Has a gmbh body kit. Look around you will find better..........

I paid £5k for my 54 reg 1.8t 190 sline Quattro avant about 4 weeks ago. More miles but better condition.

I'd deco be looking to knock the price down

I have an august '03 price list / brochure set - the only A4 to come with 18" wheels as standard was the S4.

there was no s-line listed either - only SE or Sport option packs.

Just to keep this accurate, the S-Line came out in (I think) very late 2003 and had a separate brochure, and came with the RS6 wheels as discussed.

The S-Line comes with 18" as standard .

The car also sounds like its had the oil pick up pipe problem if its had the turbo and oil pump replaced.

And yes the sline came late on the b6 model run and had 18" alloys as standard.
