How easy or is it not to come across another interior for an S3?

I'm considering some work inside but want to keep the original for when I come to sell the car. In the past on our astra vxr's we purchased a full interior that was re-done in the required look

Hi jen they do come up for sale on ebay ,piston heads other forums , but if i was buying a interior for my s3 i would have to view it first ..:)

Do you know if the S3 interior is much different from a s line etc....the most important aspect would not necessarily be the condition of the leather as that would be replaced but the moulding underneath

Nice set of recaros would be good, but can't see that happening lol

Hi jen i think its different only by the sline writing on the leather ,and the leather its self .. :)Always better to hold on to your original parts when trading the car back for a newer one .

the interiors can be the same also like said though embossing is one of the difference you can also get dimply leather on the s3, there are two twone interiors out there too or always the option of getting a cloth one seat frames are no different from the sport up minus the recaros natrually

Hey Jen, any 8P 3dr interior would be suitable (so long as the seats were heated) as you'd be having it retrimmed anyway. I have also seen people use the A5/S5 interior which looks much better IMO, though I believe the rear bench needs a bit of modification to fit, but nothing too radical required in order for it to be perfect. You could probably pick up a set of leather seats for a pretty decent price. This is something on my list of to do's also. I'll be having N8 sort the whole lot out for me when the time comes. xx

I love that Kahn interior...inspiration right there lol. So the prices arent too bad really that A5 one looks knackered leather wise so wouldnt mind ripping it up! My next concern though would be the plastics around the bottom as they would need to be good quality as well.

Black, green and cream combo

i honestly wouldnt think the plastics would be in too much of a bad condition. the Kahn one is really nice!

Those A5 seats with green stitching and a little green insert/logo would look lovely on your goblin! maybe some green piping on the carpet mats and some green stitching on the door cards and triangles too? also maybe do more green on the rear bench as they usually just look too plain on most retrims.
or you could just go all the way and do a seat like N8 and make the whole thing green although it would be too much IMO.

Yeah thinking the cream would be a no actually keep with the green/black....Kahn have got a interior for a Range rover sport with some plain and quilting it looks lush!!! Might give them a call to scare myself on the cost lol

I've been watching s-line/s3 interiors on ebay for the past few months. £350-400 seems to be the going rate for s-line leathers.

If your retrimming get the sports cloth seats as I'm pretty sure they are the same frame as s-line/s3. Generally £100-200

That interior in the VXR looks so damn good and comfortable!!

What seats would be a straight swap into the A3?

some seats are different for example so keep an eye on that aswell if you go for them, 07 onwards & S3 seats look like this

Heres my S3 interior in my Sport, picked it up for £700 inc door cards, they're out of a 2010 S3 that had covered 3k miles, so basically brand new!

If anyone is after the Sport interior i have a set inc door cards for sale, from a 3 door.

Don't hurt me but.... I think their stuff is really chavvie - I went to look at a range rover sport that had been completely ruined by overdoing it with the ridiculous Kahn stuff.. It was like being sat in Spearmint Rhinos. I've seen much more tasteful (and better crafted) interiors from a number of other places - namely Edgeautomotive. I was really suprised at how baggy and ill-fitting the kahn stuff was. Sure it looks great on their website, but in the flesh, the standard range rover interior was loads better made IMO.. not as flashy, but if you're gonna spend all that money I'd want a better finish, not just some lairy colours and overdone quilted doorcards.....?:undwech:

I'm liking the sound of black and green though, with your logos embroidered on the headrests..:yum:

Here's a pretty loud black/green interior...Our second feature for Edge Automotive! | EDGE Automotive
