My a4 2.0T is getting a bit boring. What's the next step. I currently have an air filter, exhaust, decat, up rated HPFP internals and a remap. I want more. What are the next steps? Thanks all

Dont bother buying an S4 B7, I think you'd be mighty unimpressed overall by power, heavy as hell & dtm I reckon will feel quicker, had a B6 which isnt that much different overall, lovely car, but power wise was let down.

Don't want an s4 see a few at work and unimpressed. Not liking the £450 quid tax or the insurance premium. I thought turbo was the answer. Expensive! Then injectors etc

Solaris done a ko4 hybrid conversion on his a4 for around the 3k mark and got about 380bhp, youve already done the fuel pump so youd need injectors turbo custom down pipe and a fmic if you dont wanna use the standard smic's

I best get saving! Is it safe to use it daily when that highly modified?

k04 hybrid, thats what i want to do next. if i keep mine thats definately the way ill be going :)

I was looking into going down the k04 route too, but can't really justify spending anywhere upto £3k on a car that only cost £5k, if mine was a lower mileage estate I might be more inclined to as I really want an estate. Mine goes reasonably well as it is but after test driving a 170 TDI quattro A3 and the new 3.0 TDI A6 estate I personally think 3.0 TDI estate is the way for me to go personally rather than putting more money into my car, it hod so much mid range power.

Im also looking at getting rid of my 3.0 TDI TDV as its getting abit boring.

But the only way is up and i cannot afford an S4.

Tempted to go back to a hot hatch!

Hi Chris,
I designed the upgrade with longevity in mind, i.e Turbo is spec'd to handle more power than the car produces, The the map was held back on torque so the pistons & rods would not be compromised, I used a large front mounted intercooler to ensure the the AIT's are low and cooled efficiently, and excess air is recirculated using the std diverter valve as per Audi designed.

3000 miles in and everything is running great. Me and my Mrs both use the car daily but the way that traffic is these days the car seldom stretches its legs.

If you dont fancy the outlay of a K04 Hybrid I would recommend the K0-R turbo built by RAI Motorsports. It built using the B7 K03 housing so it's literally plug and play.
