Will a VW TDI Passat windscreen arms and blades fit my B6 A4?

Just seen one in the scrappers with the aero blades, would like to know if these would fit?
They had an Audi in but it had the old style wipers on.

take one of yours off and check its the same fitment .. not rocket science is it realy mate

Well no it isn't, I'm on about the wiper arms not just the blade, from what I've read they can be a pig to get off!

Didnt really want to messing about outside the scrap yard swapping arms over.
 
yes i know your wanting the arms ....its 2 bolts for god sake 30 secs at the most to undo .... maybe if you got etka find the part number and cross check it ..why do some people make the easiest of jobs so dam hard .... or maybe stop been a tight **** and buy the right ones

You wont need to hang around the scrappies. Have a look at yours at home, at your leisure, then when you go to the scrappies, then just have a look at one. If they look the same, get them bought. If not, then I'm sure someone will want aero arms and blades on their passat anyway.

In fact, on that note, just get them bought.

I came on here just to ask a simple question yes or no, thinking someone might have done this themselves.
I don't need clever remarks off someone like you, and as for calling me a " tight ****" if £100-120 for a simple pair of windscreen wipers is a drop in the ocean in you financial world, how about you buy me a pair!!

Really?
I don't think i've taken any off in 30 seconds.
Apart from broken ones.


B6 wiper arms are the same length but the spindle thingy that the arms fit on to is a different size on the B6s to the VW depending on the yeah.
Passat wiper arms fit on to the B5 but the B6 arms won't fit on to the B5.
I'd assume the passat arms won't fit B6s.
 
Thanks Scott for the reply, I've now decided after hearing this I'm just going for the replacement wipers from Audi!
£32 not cheap but I ain't paying £110 for some wipers on a 9yr car. Yes I certainly new by the way that my wipers wouldn't come off in 30 secs as to why I asked the oringnal Passat fitting question.

You running aero wipers at the moment?

Get the wiper blade kit from VW. its cheaper than new wipers and just as good.
Mate just did it to his Skoda.

No Scott I'm running the older style wipers on a B6, will have to buy new wiper arms in order to fit Aero blades ( so I've read )

What clip onto the Audi special fitting arms? Any chance you can point me to them?
Been going round in circles for days now with these Aero wipers.

I go no idea what the clips are.
I only know the hooks or the aero wiper clips.

I've never seen anyone make Aero blades for a standard B6 wiper arm. What you say is correct, if you want Aero blades you'll need to retrofit Aero arms, keep your eyes open, mine were <£50 on ebay.

Yeah the arms are kind of straight at the ends ( no hook ) and the wiper clicks in with a plastic thingy. They changed this design later on in the year. Hence why you need to buy the wiper arms to accommodate them.

Shame really, could be a good buck or two to be made.
 
I know the passat Aero arms and blades complete are an upgrade for a B5, but no idea on a B6. If they don't fit, I am willing to take them off your hands for cost :icon_thumright:

I've got some b7 style ones going spare if you want them gkf9. And mine did take me about 45 seconds to swap back to the B6 ones but I had recently had them off. The first time I did it took alot longer and involved lots of swearing, shouting and stomping of feet so be sure to give them a good soaking in wd40 before trying to remove the old ones

******! I've only just placed my wipers with the normal Audi ones, I give up on the Aero ones. Sure someone will snap them up off you, thanks for the offer anyway. May I ask why you have gone back to the B6 arms and wipers?

b6 flat wipers, or aero wipers off ebay are NORMALY crap,
but you can find them, i did on my old a4 b6, was a little expencive tho at £60 a set, and only lasted about 6 months,
so i would say be carefull to anyone getting them,
BUT!!!! for the car i got now, (A4 CAB) THERE EASY TO FIND ON THERE,(CAPS LOCK OFF NOW) and cheap too. mine was only £18.99 and fit just fine, and have been on about 10 months with no probs .
 
i have same problem here, those b6 standart arm has a stupid connection and tehre is no any Aeros for them,thinking to get other arms with retro-style connection. just wonder which would fit, what kind of connection does b7 has?
 
Yep same problem here too... Would like to know which arms i can buy to chage from the cr*p B6 ones? From what i've read so far are people saying the Passat areo wiper arms are a straight fit to the B6?
 
Easier just to fit B7 Aero arms and then at least you're safe in the knowledge they're going to fit.

The B7 Aero arms are a straight fit yes, keep an eye on ebay or go to the dealer. I think they're £100+ new with blades though.

Hopefully someone will be able to answer with reference to the Passat arms as they may well be cheaper.
