Had the fright of my life last night at my Shell station after work @1230 am! :scared2:

I had just parked my car up to refuel, got out my car, and whilst undoing the fuel cap, a voice from behind me said "excuse me", I literally jumped out my skin!! Turned around to see an old woman, about 5ft tall, in a long pink coat and sporting a beard!(I kid you not!!). She followed up with "could you spare me.....", before she could finish the sentence, I gave her a firm "NO!"

Then I just carried on filling my car and went to pay, where she was standing by the counter window preying on the next person! I was about to have a rant at her after paying, as I worked to earn my money, what made her think I was about to give her a quid or two for nowt!? :motz: I was too tired and didn't have the time of day though, so went home and dived into bed! :lazy:

that was our lass! jo!
you sod!
i bought her that coat and the beard were iron fileings as she is a money magnet! :icon_thumright:
(probably why she was attracted to you mate! you being loaded etc)

She'll be back 1 night to fit an aircon unit on the wall down your side road mate :undwech:

She woulda only spent it on some cider anyway. this happened to me a few months ago at the shop. I just walked off haha

Jo, she is always there!!!

I have seen her a few times, the pink coat and beard gave it away!!

She stinks as well!!

Well out of order cutting her dead like that.

If she came up behind you and said something like "Your money or your life" then I could've understood your response.
But a little old lady politely saying "excuse me" etc....... you should be ashamed of yourself you big bully!

Is he, tell you this, there was a lady wondering round our town with bags etc, tramp as such, she turned out to be fairly rich even if she was tramping as such, as others have said before, offer to buy them a meal or food, see what they say, if they say no just money, then its a high chance they are just alcoholics.

So are you saying, you'd stand there listen to her life story, then potentially say NO, thats worse than just saying, sorry, no, lol.

Not her life story, but more words than "excuse me.....". And if after hearing her out for half a minute she sounded like she was trying to pull the wool over my eyes with a 'story' then I'd say NO... and wouldn't feel guilty at all because she was trying it on.

I proper hate it when I see people being unnecessarily rude to homeless people, beggers, etc.
I mean, if someone comes up to me with no shoes, wearing half a pair of trousers and has 37 empty carrier bags in a tescos trolley and then asks me for money because their "car has ran out of petrol around the corner and I need £2.50 for petrol to get me home".... then I'm gonna tell them to do one. But some people are genuinely down on their luck and deserve to be listened to and helped a bit with a few quid.

To be fair to Joe, his big fat "NOOOOOOOOO" was probably a knee-jerk reaction to being scared sh*tless by a little old woman wearing a pink coat :lmfao: But a lot of people are just plain rude to people like this, and IMO there's just no need.

Oh Ads, I'm truly touched (in a non gym way you understand) by your kindness lol.

Serious note now though, I understand what you're saying, but society has got to a point where people dress up as tramps & make a good living from doing so.

Remember many years ago in the newspapers they had stories of these that guys who used to go to tubes etc everyday begging, then go home with fair whack of change, I know these days its maybe not as rife, but it makes it hard to consider people genuine when there are many that arent, albeit old girl maybe not included, but think my point is clear.

You had a sniff? FML!!

This is true, I was still carrying the adrenaline rush she gave me 2 minutes earlier!

I have nothing against this poor woman, but I still don't think it's me that should be helping her out! Every other bum seems to be able to sponge something out of the government, why isn't she?

[/B]
And how much did she want for a blow job?

I'm not sure you'd have a **** left if you had your way!

Jo it was a bit hard not to, thats what got my attention!!!

Stinky mcstinks!!

She was there again today in broad daylight!, in a green jacket this time, she's going up in the world. lol Could see her walking towards me, before she even got 10ft near me, all the stinky replies from Nilzy flashed passed me, and I stopped her in her tracks. "No, just go away!" I barked at her!!

Do I feel bad? a little... but after getting raped by the pump for the sum of 60 quid, I didn't feel bad at all!

Grille me if you like but I would have given her. Look at it this way, no doubt it would have been cols that night, being homeless and probably hungry a few quid wouldn't hurt. At least she won't starve!

You're meant to remove the fuel cap and put the nozzle in there, you do realise that don't you?

Each to their own mate, I have no issue on how you spend your hard earned.

Sorry I come accross as Mr Nasty also, I'm actually quite a generous and helpful bloke 90% of the time. But when it comes to beggars, I just think they could have done a bit more with their lives instead of bumming out and scrounging from people who actually do work for a living!

There but for the grace of god go i 60% of the people in this country are two months lost wages away from being homeless and the way this government is carrying on there will be more people in this situation . i would not have been so quick to judge her

i think you did the right thing not giving her a hand out. charity starts at home not to some pi$$ soaked cider leech.

im not a horrible person but with living in middlesbrough and getting this nearly every day " have you got any money ? " or "giz a fag" .... erm no get a job you scab.

ill stop now before i get carried away ranting on.

:)
