******. I'm assuming he's admitted liability and his insurance are paying?

ouch !!! search a dent man local to your area and see if theres anythink he can do to save major work, if the dent can be pulled and a small paint repair then it wont cost much m8....

I was given a ball park figure for an s3 rear quarter panel (not inc the part which i was supplying) so just labour + paint and blending at around 1k as its a seriously fiddly job. Glass, attaching the panel etc. Not sure if the bumper is salvageable.. Do it on insurance, even if a panel man can reform it without serious work (the panel will need a respray/blending if your fingers get stuck when you run them across paintwork) the job will cost him more than his excess and only a minor increase to his premium at renewal and much less resentment at the end.

Body work always takes more work and cost than you imagine.

looks easy repair and the cheap option would be dent man and smart repair insurance may go down the write off stage !!!! then would be a cat d if you brought it back....

Yep thats a fair point, you will be close to getting written off with main dealer parts and repair bill as i expect it will get close to 70% of its value (if its an 04 plate, cant quite tell)

just had this done on mine some women backed into mine cost £1.500 to fix and the dent was not as big as yours mate. i cant see them wrighting it off for that though cheaper to fix for them

Hope you get it fixed soon. :)

I think talk of the car being written off is scare mongering.

OP are you going through insurance etc?

Yes she's admitted it And the claim is on her insurance.
Visual check at Audi dealer £1716 to fix.
