As per title, just traded in my Evo 7 for that as a more sensible relationship demanded better vehicle ownership.

Its a 3.2 v6 Quattro sport, silver with red interior with heated seats, Bose sound system, 18" facelift wheels and abt bodykit.

Its a cat d, but a nice clean example. Repaired properly tho.

Couple of things required, although nothing major.

Abs sensor for one of the wheels
mass airflow sensor
o2 sensor

Hi Billy, wecome to ASN. Have a look over the A3 section, there are threads at the top of the page, lots of useful information in there. The guys/girls are all friendly and we like to help spend your cash. Where are you lcated. Enjoy the forum. :)

I live in Glasgow and I'm mostly on m3cutters.com I'm a moderator of that site.

This place seems a friendly place, thanks for a warm welcome Sandra.

Welcome fella, only been here a month myself-good friendly bunch ;)
Whereabouts in Glasgow?
Cumbernauld here.

Welcome m8, Enjoy the V6!

That kit is not the ABT by the way, it's the factory Votex kit

Welcome to the club mate. Looks like a tidy motor you've got there. It won't take us long to get you spending. I think the engines are the same, but some early models suffered from an issue with the timing chain stretching. Make sure you use shell v power or tesco momentum too, mine doesn't like any other unleaded.

Hi billym3,

I wonder if you could help me please, i see you have an A3 3.2 Quattro sport. I been looking at one over the last few days and not sure wheather to buy it or not. What are you opinions of it so far and how much does it cost to fill with fuel and how does it get you. I appreciate they wont be very good on fuel but i could do with knowing as much as i can about it before i buy it.

Many thanks

Damion

The v6 isn't exactly environmentally friendly. It costs about £70 to fill up mine with tesco momentum 99 and that will last me between 200-250 miles. That's mostly town miles and I think works out about 20 mpg. If the car is registered after 2006 there is no concession on road tax either, and that'll set you back I think £460 a year. But it's all worth it for the sound and smooth delivery of the v6.

That's mixed really. It's mainly in traffic, so that won't help. From how you describe your commute in your thread it sounds pretty similar. It'll need to be run on premium unleaded, as they don't really like normal. And if you're after modding for power in the future it'll cost big bucks. But they are an awesome car to drive and performance wise not far off a standard s3.

No im not going to be doing anything with it just everyday driving. Its at a garage near me and they want £5800 for it but i am very weary about the mpg on it.

By the time i get to work the engine will be just staring to get warm then it sits there all day till i go home and by the time i get home the engine will be just getting warm again. I know i cant campare it to my Astra 1.9d and i do about 1000 miles a month. THis looks quite scarey. About 250 miles to a full tank :tocktock:

When you look at it like that you'll be using a tank a week. So nearly £300 a month in fuel. You might be better off paying out a bit more and looking for a newer 1.8 Tfsi. It'll cost you more, but it won't take long to catch up with the fuel costs on the 3.2. Don't be put off of Audi though, they're a cut above any car I've had before.

Ok well it looks like im gonna ave to give this one a miss by the looks of it, gutted :-( but hey never mind. Thanks for ur help guys in this
