Hey guys,
I baught a 2006 2.0T FSI Sline Multitronic with 93,000 on the clock last Thursday and I must say I absolutely love the car!
The car drives really well and I am reall happy with the S Line suspension as I thought it would be to hard. Runs smooth and power is there. No smoking or anything seems fine.
Anyway, I knew it aint gonna be great on fuel but come on, forget the first fuel up, I then filled up £30 petrol from ASDA at 138.7p per litre when the DIS showed 0 miles on the range.
This is what I used to do on my previous 2003 Jag X-Type manual 2.0D and used to get about 130 miles of local driving with a really heavy foot!
Anyway so I put that £30 petrol in on Friday and trust me I haven't been thrashing it just the odd time here or there but other wise driving normal and at 60 miles the range is now at 0.
So according to this MPG calculator online I seem to have been getting only 12.61 MPG! To be honest, I knew it wont be as good as my previous jag even though that had a problem with it which meant poor fuel consumption but still got around 130 miles and was expecting at least expecting 100 local driving miles with the A4 from £30 worth of fuel but only 60 miles??
I know I can drive more on the 0 range but that is not the point as I filled up when the DIS showed 0 miles. The range showed 95-100 miles when I filled it but I thought it would go up but it just went down!
I've filled up £30 again today and now the range is showing 100 miles. Its just going to drop quickly isnt it?
Is this normal??? Please help.
