I don't think you can really change what it displays, either miles to empty or mpg is probably the closest to what you want

Yeah know that, but just wondered if some techie as edited the dis b 4. If it can show esitmated miles to empty then it must know how many litres are in the tank, the calculation must come from somewhere. I know in vagcom it shows you.

As far as I know it isnt possible to show the volume of fuel. Miles to empty and mpg are as close as you can get.

I can't really see why you'd want it while driving, either?
Just work it out at the end of each journey. Miles remaining until empty divided by average miles per gallon = gallons remaining. Multiply that by 4.55 and that's your litres remaining, not accounting for DIS over-reading.

Surely this is what the fuel gauge shows?! I understand what the OP is asking, but why would Audi need to programme the DIS to show something that a gauge in the dash already does?!
Because its more accuate than the remaining miles to empty.

Yeah the MTE reading in the Dis changes with regards to the current driving, average speed and fuel in the tank...
The fuel gauge is still accurate. If the gauge is on half and you got a 60 litre tank then you have approx 30 litres... Simples!
