Twin tailpipes: Quoted £341 to replace..

..with TDI 170 tailpipes!!

Can someone point me in the correct direction as to where i can get a set of TDI 170 tailpipes to replace the crap downward facing ones on my S-line A3 SB.

Worse case (if your a bit handy) cant you just hacksaw off the pipe before the downward bend & put a trim on them?

if it was me id get the exhaust place to cut the originals down and use stainless tips. Had this done with my MG ZT 190. didn't take long at all. looked sweet

Lads i want to remove the downward ones out and replace with stainless stail pipes but where can i get the identical pipes from which you would find on a 170 TDI A3?

I'm not buying a new back box, scrub that idea @ £341!

Anyone know?

@aidenuk what is the reason that you dont want to replace the back box since it is even cheaper than the price you got quoted?

I don't want to replace the back box, this is what i am saying, i want to cut the downward pipes off and weld some GENUINE 170 tailpipes in place.

go get the droopy pipe ends cut off with an angle grinder and then replace with these: Audi Exhaust Muffler Tail Pipe Trim PP0008 | eBay

Hell i cut off the backbox and replaced it with a straight pipe for only £80!

Possibly so yes but would where would i get that from and would that come with the chrome 170 type tail pipes.

I don't want something that looks like it's fresh out of Halfords if you get me, OEM is always my plan!

I don't know the difference in how the 170 tail pipes look compared to the 140 but i got my pipe from RedDejavu
