Rear Washer Jet on Audi A3 2010

Hi,

My Rear washer jets seems to have a block. When trying to spray water only a little bit comes out. How do I unblock my rear washer jet please? I have tried poking a pin but no joy.

Looking on other threads the wiper should have plastic cap that pops out and the jet is under that.

I don't have a cap its looks like the jet it moulded onto the wiper.

anyone changed a jet before?
 
Flick the plastic cap off. Pull the jet end off and try the rear jet and it should spray in a straight line away from your car. If it does then its the jet end, try cleaning it and try it again. If it still doesn't work get a new one from Audi, they should be less then £1 or free.

As above, but if its the black dual jet plastic part, get a needle & clear the nozzles with some working back/forth, job done.
 
Is there not an issue with the rear washer leaking inside the boot? I will try flicking the end off mine to ascertain if it's a blocked jet as mine hasn't worked for ages now (57 Sportback) but fear it's leaking inside the car so never touch it!

Yes there is an issue and possibly will be on yours but I wouldn't expect a 2010 model to have the problem yet. If it has then it's definitely back under warranty !!

My 2006 SB had to have a new rear wiper and it took me ages to re-tube the washer without the silly Audi connectors which pop-off in freezing conditions. The one going to the wiper motor is quite easy but the one in the rear quarter panel above the convenience module is a ****** !

Also needed to remove, dry out and re-lubricate the boot lock to stop the alarm going off !
 
i have the black dual jet plastic part. I take it there is no way of getting the jet out of the wiper?
 
Right just had the back of the rear boot lid off and there is no leak or loose pipe.

Took the pipe out of the motor and no water came out just a few drips. Have checked all around the car and have no damp patches or puddles on the drive.

What could be wrong here? a blocked pipe somewhere?

car has recently been serviced and valeted inside. Could they have disconnected something during service?

Assuming you had it serviced by Audi then I seriously suggest you take it back to them. Tell them it worked ok before the service.
 
nope wasn't Audi was a local garage. Will take it back there and if they can't fix it, will need to take it to Audi garage. Its still under warranty.

Just that nearest audi dealer is 30mins drive and would rather fix it myself if simple fix.

I agree, get it back to Audi!! When my car had warranty I wouldn't of even started to look at something like this!

You may have voided the warranty unless your garage was a VAG specialist independent.

If you have removed the plastic washer pipe from the rear motor and water does not gush from the pipe when the washer is operated then, believe me, it is not likely to be a simple fix ! I assume you can hear the motor operating normally and you have water in the system !!!!!!!!!??

and what work they do will be coved for a year, even if your warranty runs out before.
 
Voided the warranty because car wasn't serviced at a VAG?

I can hear the motor operating but no leaks so wonder were the water is going?

Will ring local Audi garage tomorrow.
 
Hi - sounds very much like mine (although mine is 05) it does look as if the whole thing is one piece (jets and wiper unit) but if you grip the casing around the spindle area, it should pop off to reveal the actual spindle. The nozzle is a small piece of plastic with two jets that is a snap fit into the end of the spindle. You may find the water is filling up the inside of the motor (mine was) - in your case that's a new motor under warranty.
 
water not even getting to the motor. no leaks either.
booked in audi garage next week
 
Sorry to bring up an old thread but can somebody please also look at this thread I have made and see if you can help? I am having the same issue!!!

Am I going to have to strip the whole car down to find this leak!! Its driving me mad!! Car is under another warranty (Not Audi) so do not really want to spend masses of money on it...Nor do I want to replace the rear washer jet incase it blocks again and it leaks the boot out!

As others have said the most common problem is a blocked rear jet! Problem with pump is bad luck but at least you've got to bottom of it!

To repair my blocked rear jet:-
1. I flicked off the rear black cover
2. Pulled the right angled jet off the wiper spline to reveal the washer supply pipe. Switch on the ignition & squirt the washer. If water comes gushing out of the supply pipe it's the jet that's blocked & the pump is fine.
3.Blew the jet clean with a compressed air line gun & refitted. All works fine, but had just readjust the rear jets for aim with a pin
 
Mine is really annoying me now....it is leaking all the time and my boot is wet!!!

Options are to strip it myself or put it into warranty!!

Mine comes gushing out of the pipe but then the pump begins to leak all into the boot, so presuming its the pump. Should be here tomorrow.
 
But I have no leak from the actual boot door lining thigie?! Its dry and when I open the boot no water comes out of it
