Just saw this on the news.
Aston Villa captain Stiliyan Petrov has been diagnosed with acute leukaemia, the West Midlands club have announced.
Sad news but I hope he pulls through

Heard that earlier-as a Celtic fan very close to my heart,and my brother suffered from leukaemia a few years back(the consequence of which is lung damage requiring a double lung transplant and being housebound on oxygen)

That's the stuff you never hear of when people survive things like these,I spoke to a mate earlier and he saw Geoff Thomas on Sky and said he looks like an old man even though he isn't.
