Nice, won't look so great when covered in oily finger prints though.

Also just seen on Facebook. Rtech have managed to get a ko4 to 304bhp... On their rollers anyway... But you will easily smash that with your r8 cap

He has moved the goalpost though, It has to be an S3 (In Ming Blue, with a stone chipped front bumper, an S111 number plate, white leather, r8 oil cap and s4 avus III's :lmfao: ) so I think he will be the first to do it!

Thanks mate.

Anyone know what the dmf weighs? Ive got 14kg in my head but unsure if thats right.

Westy,

Couldnt find it anywhere in the thread although I may have missed it? But where did you get your window deflectors from? They look smart.

Wow, I have just finished reading this entire thread!
What a great looking car with so much attention to detail being put into it! It's made for a great read (even if it took a few days) and am now looking forward to the easter rebuild! Wish I could see it in action!

Little update:

After seeing Prawn's XS V1 Manifold crack after 1 track day I spoke to S3dave about beefing up the welds on my mani before I fit it in 2 weeks.

Here's a pic of what happened to Prawn's mani (hope you don't mind me using the pic?)

And here are the pics Dave sent me of his work. I'll get more pics when I receive the mani back:

Also on a separate note, UPS are delivering my IE rifle drilled rods today.

Just got home to find the IE rods and my big end bearings waiting for me. Ordered these bad boys about 7 weeks ago now but I'm sure they'll be worth the wait.

Also got a couple of Intergrated Engineering stickers for my car laptop ;)

Thought I'd have a quick look at your thread mate and a week later I'm finally done haha. Been a very good read. Looking forward to the build. Keep up the good work pal.

It's a great thread. Will keep you posted about this Manu business Neil. You'll want to ensure that when it all goes in that you don't want to take it out again.

Just finished the thread mate. Excellent reading.
Keep up the good work.

Looking forward to getting the model. Was hoping postie would of been kind to me when I got in today but no luck. :(

I'll go home instead if paying the price for solid uprated mounts :)

These will feel great compared to the 10 year old mush that has covered 131K miles :moa:

Makes me wonder whether these might have sorted the problem with mine. Either the engine has dropped or the subframe been raised as my downpipe had dropped and I have other weight hitting the Power steering rack creating vibration.

Car has now has the prop out, downpipe off and full engine bay investigation underway.

Might consider some upgrades at the same time.

Like you say...standard like for like is better than standard that's done 131k

Engine movement confirmed as my problem. Ordering uprated ones now. Are Awesome's any good?

Will do.

I can rock the engine with the downpipe and have worn pipework behind the gearbox from engine movement. That's how rotton they are...mashed!

awesome thread Westy... was wondering if you manged to check integrated's new Tuscan rods, i read they distribute the pressure/stress on the rod even instead of on the tips....

Just a thought Neil, as i know that you are seeking more power and following from what been mentioned above in terms of recommendations etc...

The standard ones give far more movement than the uprated ones...the diagnosis and problem that I have had, taking into account that mine are mashed and served 131k miles, is that my top mounts are not up to it but also that I will require uprated ones simply because of the lack of engine movement required to deliver how much lb torque/bhp I can call upon.

Essentially, my uprated hybrid/mani mashed my standard clutch. My uprated hybrid/mani/clutch have now mashed my standard engine mounts. There's a pattern emerging here...

Keep them standard? Or am i not sensing the same pattern :lmfao:

Everything is now bought for the build and i no longer have any spare cash due to buying a house so what I have will have to do for the time being. One day I might get the time and the money to go back over everything and update it.
