I've never been a fan of Schumi if I'm being honest, but I was happy to see him qualify 3rd, should make an interesting start! the Mercs are pretty quick off the line aren't they?
 
I think that puts Hamilton on 21 pole's to Alonso's 20.

What a race! Amazing drive from Perez. Shame he made a mistake because Alonso would be in trouble.

Looking forward to seeing the highlights. Kept up to date on BBC News though. Fair play to Perez, would of liked to of seen him get 1st though.

So you're saying that instead of backing of a bit he decided to drive off the road and risk his 2nd place?
I very much doubt that... He was still attacking after the radio message and that's why he made a mistake.
 
He drove faultlessly gaining on Fernando then that happened.
 
Just like Maldonado in Australia.
 
More important question now is will we see driver swap for China, Massa <-> Perez?
 
Was a good race, i enjoyed it while sitting in the garden in the sunshine. I wonder if im still at the top of the fantasy 1 table. I sure think i should be. Lol:)

Poor old Maldonado. 2 races in a row and he finishes on the last lap.
 
Got to admit, the rain does make F1 interesting, who would have thought that poor Ferrari winning and a Sauber hunting them down in the latter stages? the very same car Massa could only bring home in 15th position!!

i think they told him in code not to overtake Alonso..
cos i found it a bit odd..... they told him he had younger tyres than Alonso ...so telling him have a go!!

Then when they told him in code ..it came over the radio SLOW AND CLEAR!!

When Perez came off the circuit he made a mistake, but i think he'd have just backed off anyway
 
Hmmm its sad how you never change or can add any balanced review/comments of a race.

Good race, not the result I was hoping for, great drive by Alonso and Perez. Seeing a very different side to Seb, Webbers shown him up a bit in the past 2 races, I know Seb got 2nd first race but Webber has out qualified him both times. Looking to be a good season with so many cars in the mix. Great overtake by Senna on Rosberg, Button had me on the edge of my seat when he was overtaking Massa as I was waiting for Massa to crash into him.

I think it's a case that Seb could make the most use of the blown diffusers from last year! It takes bottle to boot a rwd car mid corner at silly speeds to make it stick!

What a great result for Perez and Sauber, pity he made that error when he was right up Fernando's gearbox.

People are saying Perez & Massa might swap seats this year but I reckon Perez would be a mug to go for that. Going from a car that's running well to the Ferrari??? Look what happened to Fisichella when he filled in the other year. I reckon Perez should stay put, bag as many points and as much confidence as he can so when the Scuderia come knocking hopefully they'll have a reasonable 2013 car for him to start testing with next winter.

I reckon Massa will be lumping around in IRL or NASCAR next year...
 
woahhh what a race!! glad for Nando knowing how crap that car is.... lucky break in the pits which he made the most of, cannot fault him really.... Perez, hmm yeah i suspect something there, and then that team message.... sumat not right there at all.

I actually got interested in the Indy that followed!! same chassis and engines, loked quite interesting, all apart from the bumping cars due to crap surfaces :)
 
I think McLaren pit crew need to sort themselves out, the back Jackman lost Lewis a few seconds and maybe a place.

Think they need to ask way only Button's overtaken Lewis on the track, yet he has come third twice?

Any thoughts

I didn't rate Fisichella as much of a driver whatever car he was in.

I dont know how good a driver Perez is yet.. one race dont make a season, but if a Ferrari drive comes up id take it if i was him. better to jump in a slow car and show how fast you can make it.

only worry id have for Perez if he went there.. Ferrari likes to have a number 1 driver and to take all the points when possible.

Looks like the Merc wing is under scrutiny again. I recon it'll be deemed legal, other teams will be forced to copy it, and next year there will be a rule change to ban it.

Also who thinks Bahrain will be on? Because I've been saying for ages that it won't. Same story as last year. Wait till the last min before they announce that its cancelled. I couldn't care less tbh. Not the most exciting of races there!
 
I think Bahrain will be cancelled too mate, but it will be down to Bernie, for the right reasons best take it off the calendar?

What about The US Austin GP is that on? :think: .....or was Bernie asking for to much money?

Yea, definitely! I think so anyway. When they cancelled last years race, I thought that odds on it wouldn't go ahead this year either. Trouble is, if Bahrain cancel, they lose their race fees. If Bernie cancels, he has to give the fees back to Bahrain. There is obviously still a lot of trouble going on over there so why pretend that all is hunky dory? I just don't get it.

As for Texas, no idea. I thought I'd read that they solved their issues now and all is on? I'm looking forward to it. Track looks interesting.
