I owned a scooter for 2 yrs, does that count? Don't have any pics unfortunately, but it had a big bore kit or something, so could do 60mph! Was fun, I only lost 50 quid on it when I came to sell it!

fell off one once in mallorca and cost me 200 euros to fix/ get my passport back!
not my cup of tea! :motz:

I've always admired bikers and have always wanted to ride a bike but I'm petrified! Guy I used to work with paralysed himself at the age of 28. Came off on a patch of black ice and broke his back sliding into a lamp post :(
Im not allowed another one, when i was 22 i ripped both my knee caps off on an rd 350lc, (brakes failed around a bend) to be honest i can still feel the pain when i think about it, but lots of water dribbles down my chin when i see the R1, but its soo bleeding busy on the roads these days and there seem to be a lot more lunatics too...:sadlike: I wont even go on the road on my mountain bike nowadays...

Thats a nasty thought mate.
I've got bad knees and that makes them hurt just reading it.

Thing is with riding a bike is that you have ride them with respect, especially when you first start. You pass your test and you really don't know how to ride, and it takes ****** ages to ride properly... I haven't put myself into too many positions which has made my **** clench. Only had a couple moments, but I'm fairly cautious.

Last year took the r1 down to dusseldorf germany, then got the train to Italy, then rode across southern France, monaco, then upto Spain, over 1800 miles in 12 days, all with my brother and a mate, was great fun!

i've mates into bikes, dad has a bike, uncles have bikes, but me :( no bike.

every year i say il do my test but i never do, expensive and i end up putting the money into something else.
but i WILL do it one day and i WILL own the ducati 916 my uncle had before he died. we know the guy who has it.

Haha have another chez you hater ;)

Iv always thought I'd like a bike, but was never aloud one :(
my bro had a major accident years ago. And mum put a ban on them instantly.
I remember going to get a Suzuki DT 125 for Xmas with my dad when I was 17, picked it out, took it for a spin around the carpark, dad put the deposit down and I was Megga excited. Only to find out mum put the kibosh on it the day after:( was gutted.
See loads of bikers over Rivinton when I take the car for a spin after a scrub, Some of em Look amazing going through the bomb hole then comming out with the left knee down. Impressive to watch

Morning people.
What happening?

Another day in work.

Had a bit of a barny with the misses last night for not big reason.
Told I need to get the car in to the garage to the AC drained get a belt replaced cause its starting to fray, I also think its rubbing on a pully so need to get that looked at.
She then went off on one about how much money I spend on the car and how its in the garage every week.
Last time it was in the garage was about a month ago for a wheel bearing that let go.

****** woman:banghead:

O well, its a new day. lets see what happens. lol

That's the thing. My parents used to be petrified of me going to the Nurburgring. After id done about 4 trips they got better but they still worry a little bit now after 10 years of going.

Mine are the same, but rightly so in my case after my previous boo boo in the audi!

My mum and dad encouraged me to get a motorbike.
I asked and they was like, yeah sure. If you crash just make sure you get back on and ride it.

My first bad crash was really bad, broke the bike, broke my helmet, gloves, trousers, jackets, shoes and blood everywhere. Phoned my dad and explained what happened.
He asked me two questions,
Dad: Can you walk?
Me: Yes.
Dad: Is the bike rideable?
Me: Yes buts going to be hard.
Dad: I'll see you when you get home.

Bit heartless but all the other crashed I walked away from meant I just got back on to the bike, rode home, fixed the bike, cleaned my self and went back out again.

Not much.
The most exciting thing to day is for me to buy a office kettle.
At least I get to use my company credit card. lol

Don't do it!

The first few washes are the worst as you find more dents, marks, scratches and scuffs then you thought were there. This is the reason why I have only washed my car twice since I got it in October, and both times it was dark..

Haha, yeah this is what it was like on my last car the bodywork is dirty when I bought it and when i washed it I found out it was more or less f*cked. Luckly for me I didn't pay much nor did I sell as it for written off and got the same price I paid for the car back :jump:.

This A3 mind you has more or less perfect paintwork so I'm happy to clean this one prob wait till the summer for claying it but I think it deserves a nice clean and wax for now :)
