OK so as some of you will know I bought some DRL headlights direct from Dectane, Germany. They arrived yesterday but sadly only fit LHD cars so they are getting sent back monday.

Im wanting some QUALITY DRL lights for my 2005 A4 B7. I know theres loads on ebay etc but alot of them are **** poor quality. I choose Dectane cause they are known for OEM quality and looking great.

Does anyone know if Dectane do these lights in RHD? Could you link me to the site or any other sites that sell what Im looking for.

Cheers guys.

I do believe 2xcite are the sellers most guys here have used to purchase their Dectane lights on e-bay

Yep, they're the guys to get them off. Was all set to buy some from them and then got chance of some second hand ones from a member on here. They are very good quality.

Ive got mine from 2xcite too, looks good and had no issues with them

Cheers guys, i'll get them ordered now :icon_thumright:

Light output is fine with std bulbs ive uprated mine toeither philips or ring 100% brighter ones (cant remember which ones) and output has improved, not as good as they would be with hid's tho.

I currently use Osram nightbreakers, excellent output, just wasn't sure how the output and spread would be with the projector lens, looks like another mod to do then (o the mrs will be pleased:friends:)lol

I bought these ones from DayLine which I really like. Went for the black ones.

Any problems with these matt? Such as the usual with aftermarket lights, condensation, leaks etc etc?

Are the LED's bright enough?

No problems with leaks or condensation - they have been great.

They are pretty bright as you can see, not quite as bright as an A5 or B8. I would say brighter, though, than a big range rovers DRL's

Hi Matt,

Quick question, what colour is your car? Do the black lights look ok with it or do you think the chrome ones would have looked better?

I've got an A3 in maritius blue. I really like the black lights, but I'm not sure if they'd look good with the car. I've had no other work done to it.. just standard.

The standard headlights are a mixture of a black bottom and chrome lights.. so I'm really not sure.

Would you be able to post some daylight pics up of your car lights??

Although I don't have a pic of my car it's like this:

(WITH STANDARD HEADLIGHTS)

Do you think black will suit?

Thanks!!

Hey Fella,

My car is Grey and I think the black ones looks a lot better than the chrome ones.

I shall take a few pics this weekend and pop them up on here for you, so you can decide!

Matt

Hey Matt,

Any joy with the pics? My Cab is dolphin grey and i am looking at a set of these at the moment (front end coming off for cambelt replacement so seems like the time to take the plunge) but seems as though only the chrome ones are available. How do they look with the lights off?

Cheers

2xcite are getting the black ones in stock at the end of this month.

Personally if you have a darker car the blacks ones look better and the chrome ones look better on lighter cars.

Hi all,
Just moved over to the B7 section after previously owning a B5.. Am interested in a set of these lights, do the LED's replace the sidelights then?.. if so, you switch the sidelights/LED's on at the dash for them to work?

Yes fella, they are in place of the sidelights, so you can use the switch to turn on, or you could have someone change the settings to have them ignition switched I believe. I'm sure someone with more knowledge will jump in.
