So im raveing that im off to Amsterdam in 14 days time the mrs booked the weekend away for my birthday, and im planning on not remembering much of it . Then its 12days off work due to booking 4 crafty days in between the bank holidays that means iv got alot of F all to do, well that and wash the car only rant is that i bust the little bracket from my dogbone mount to gearbox which resulted in a rocking engine that made my auxilery belt eat my power steering hose thats £160 from the steelers. But oh well iv just accepted that my car hates me and i hate it(again)

As for the car, iv sourced the part for £20 so should have it sorted by the weekend, all being well ovcourse.

Enjoy your time in Amsterdam. Most people love it, but I guess I spend too much time there, because I hate it. I'm sure it will be a messy few days regardless.

As for the part im well chuffed, it looks identical to mine, but its from a 1.8 non turbo.

I work in Holland, so am always passing through Amsterdam. Try to avoid it as much as possible, but sometimes there is nothing you can do. Was well oiled last night in Amsterdam, never got to bed until 4.30 this morning. Good thing it was a 12:15 flight, lol.

I wish i could have a commute that involves passing through Amsterdam lol but itd be abit out of my way :bong:

Iv been to 'the dam' for my 21st with the lads and found the clubs abit intimidating, the building looked like a prison crossed with an abatoir, two 7ft skin head bouncers, and dont mention the name of the place lmao lets just say we got out of there pritty sharpish. All in all a quality place tho and well worth a visit to those that have never been. Gotta laugh at those lucky lucky men lol.

Nah, you really don't mate. Dutch taxes are immense. 40% straight off the bat, and after you hit 55k or something you pay 52% tax. Its poor. The difference in taxes I pay between there and here would pay my mortgage. And it aint small.

Holland is a nice place to visit though, once you get out of Amsterdam. The little towns over there are beautiful. But it is one hooring expensive country. For a decent meal, with only a couple beers, your looking at over 40 euros a head, depending on if you do a desert or not. Beer is about a fiver a pint. But overall, I'd rather be at home.
