PaulieMB's Mellow Yellow Progress Thread

Well, I couldn't wait any longer guys, so yesterday afternoon I had my new MTM's and Goodyear Eagle F1 Asy's fitted (19x8.5J ET50 225/35/19). Can't begin to tell you how pleased I am with them, and thankfully there's hardly any difference in the ride comfort, phew! I was worried it would make things too harsh, but Rico told me not to worry, that he didn't find the ride any harder going up to 19's and he was right. Absolutely love the paint job N8 did on them, the Anthracite matches the front lip and rear diffuser really well. Thanks once again N8, you are an absolute STAR!!! :wub: Anyway, enough chat, here are the pics. I apologise for the car being dirty and the light was starting to fade, but I will get better ones up when it's had a good clean. :wub: xx

Some rims work well on some cars, and not on others. I've never seen the MTM's look bad on any Audi of any age.

They just look sharp, clean, unfussy and are a timeless design.

The only reason I'd chose the RS3's over these is because after years of cleaning muti-spoke rims I'm now officially a lazy b*****d who detests cleaning wheels / tyres. However your coats of collinite and jetseal should make it much much easier. The colour looks so crisp against the yellow.

I know exactly what you mean about the cleaning of certain wheels, ..that's why I've never gone for Speedlines as much as I love the look of them! Have to say, compared to the 18" CK's the MTM's are going to be a breeze to clean as there is way more space between the spokes, though it won't be me who'll be keeping them shiny anyway. lol. :laugh: :wub: xx

Mine's not that well trained! Maybe if I can massage the rigamortis out of her she could try holding a wheel brush (if I can manage to prize the sky remote from her paws!)
 
When i look at the wheels i cant decide if i like them or not because on a car as good as this whatever wheels you fit they will look good :wub:

I love everything about the car :wub: its been done perfectly!

Only thing i don't like is the wind deflectors but each to there own haha

I've always liked these wheels but never loved them and must admit, I was slightly skeptical of the idea, but in all honesty, they look ridiculous!!
I think it's the anthracite finish that make the final look an absolute winner.

Looks a great job from Nathan as expected. He'll be doing my OEM S3 wheeels at some point this spring/summer.

Haha You had noticed then! I will get myself some eventually, I'm toying with the idea of the new one once released but this begs the question; why? It's just a superb looking car that we're all blessed to have and look after! Granted, some are better than others (yours) but with a few tweaks mine wouldn't be too far away (a long way really), side skirts is a must though!!

Keep going Paulie, words can't describe how good it looks!

Farhan, honestly they look good in the pics, but even they do not do justice to the immense quality of Nath's work. Every time I look at them my jaw drops open and can't help but shake my head, ..then I start grinning and then I can't stop, lol. :laugh: :wub: xx
