I'm new to Audi and picking up my first new A3 Black Edition next week. Is it possible to buy the S3 wing mirrors as I think this would be a nice addition?

Thanks guys.... I was told when I ordered the car I couldnt have them included which I thought was strange! I'm also slightly disappointed that they have stopped doing the twin tailpipes and its now just the one with chrome finish. Im from just outside Glasgow.

I'm gettin it in Ibis white so keeping it clean will keep me busy..... and good washing products?

Hi Nobber, congrats on the new car. I've also ordered an ibis white BE and i pick up tomorrow:icon_thumright: They do still do the twin pipes, but it's the 170ps version, is yours diesel? As for cleaning products, check out the Werkstat acrylic kit, it's supposed to be pretty special on white cars in particular. I have the set at home, can't wait to try it out at the weekend! I got it from Polished Bliss, based in aberdeen.

They hit me with its now standard to only have the one..... unless its the S3 because of emissions bla bla bla. Then the pics of the new A3 come out with the twin tailpipes!!!

The 140 PS = Single tail pipe
170 PS = Twin tail pipes

Ha didnt realise..... so sorry for my stupidity but is it just a performance difference between the 140ps and 170ps and if so is it significant?

170 PS = Twin tail pipes

This True? as my A3 has twin tail pipes and is 140ps.

Not really significant 0.9secs quicker to 62mph, i think the 170 has a top speed of 139mph against 130mph for the 140.

Spoke to Audi and asked if I could get the S3 wingmirrors fitted and tailpipes and apparently there are no approved Audi retrofit options?!!!
Any ideas?

I have the R/H side S3 wing mirror cover if your interested as it was replaced last month on my S3. Let me know.

Welcome to ASN! Depending on which dealer you speak to, some are very unhelpful when it comes to deviating away from standard spec in any way, shape or form. They will tell you that certain retrofits are impossible, but don't be disheartened by what Audi say as most things ARE possible, thankfully . Also, you wouldn't want to buy things like S3 mirrors from the dealer as they are extortionately priced, as N8 says over £200 per side. Best to buy them secondhand or new from anyone BUT Audi. For most things, Ebay is you friend. xx
