It's been a busy day here at Green Goblin land for developments on the S3. Firstly the plate holder arrived via courier from Harrogate Audi which could only mean one thing.....let's get it on RS3 grill stylee time!!!

So the original S3 black optic grill looks like this:

No Stuart wasn't giving it a kick there either....sorry about picture quality they are off the BB.

Next development....STS module arrived from Shark Performance this morning to find out whether these new 2012 S3's can be mapped. Basically if the existing stock map uploaded then it could be done, if it didn't then it wasn't going to be possible via the OBD. So for the sake of £150 it was worth a gamble and Shark explained we could return the module and get a refund it it didn't work which was very decent of them.

STS plugged in and YES the stock map was uploaded with no issues! You can't believe how happy that made me as having been used to 400bhp from our last TTRS and the new one at 340 standard there is quite a bit of difference and I felt the car was crying out for a map.

We proceeded to get the map downloaded from Shark and in the mean time Daryl fitted the Milltek non resonated Cat back box exhaust to the car. By the time this was on the new map had arrived and we then got it on the car...everything went very smoothly with no issues what so ever.

So the car is now fully stage 1 and it flipping flies!!! As many others have said it's how it should be from factory and the car has completely transformed and yes there is currently a great big massive GRIN on my face :D The exhaust sounds amazing and I nearly go as far as saying it sounds as good as the cat back on the TTRS. It swooshes and pops on gear changes lol....the adrenaline rush I seek has returned in this baby, it's much better than my previous 58 plate for some reason.

Enquiries have already been put out for Stage 2

Shark Me Up! Nice one Jen, S3's NEED a remap, ..SHARK FTW!!! Enjoy it, Hunny  xx

Very nice. Glad you got the shark treatment sorted :)

I did another S3 last night with an STS, albeit a 2010 and have to agree they fly when mapped!

It had me looking on pistonheads and seeing what I can sell to get £25k together.

They are not going black I don't think...not the front anyway lol

Are you not keen?!

It just looks like the rings have fallen off. I don't see why people going for an all-black look don't just remove the rings and holder. RS3 grille looks immense though, was actually looking at moving up to an 8P3 when Paula did hers just so I could follow suit!

That looks fantastic Jen....just wish the grilles weren't so expensive as they look superb, and can't wait to see where you are going with the wheels !!

Having recently been S1 Shark'd as well, it's a pretty good bang for your buck eh :))

Great work Jen, it's coming along a treat. After stg 1 you really start to feel the S3 earns its 'S' badge, and exhaust helps to add even more character.

The grille looks fantastic.

Theres one more motor in the garage that needs the Shark treatment as well

Im going to ask shArk to send an STS up t see if it can read the standard file off the TTRS as I need more power..

TT-RS is ECU out iirc. Hopefully they've got Milltek's RS3 to map soon so hopefully then Mikko will create the Perfect map for the 2.5LTFSI  Need to come and see you guys as I wanna go out in the TT-RS :ninja:

Looks great Jen :) I wish the RS3 grill fitted the pre facelift :(

I have just finally uploaded the Shark stage 3 map Mikko sent me as my S3's clutch finally bit the dust and the stage 3 was just too much for it on the rollers when I was down there a few weeks ago. I had my LOBA Motorsport single mass flywheel and Sachs 550nm clutch fitted this week then loaded the stage 3 and it is ridiculously quick! I couldn't recommend stage 3 enough :)

absolutely fantastic Jen. I wish I could fit one like that on the 8P2.

Oh yes, what an improvement, had a great drive home, M25 was empty so was able to have a blast every now and then:)

Great job, many thanks Rob.
