Xs power manifold and hybrid ko4 now fitted,my what a lovely job (never again),is boosting fine no error coads no problems, just the difference is'nt that noticeable with new mods,so end of the month remap time me thinks!,ok this is a lick *** thread, how much for a badger 5 remap?,did i say you guys are the best (cheep price pls),i could have just emailed you guy's,just trying to work out if i feel the same as others with the above mod's,was your's not alot different untill remap????

Two tuners that I would take my car to only, is r tech(they mapped prawns track carb or badger 5. Either will give you exactly what you want.

Yea,same as i have heard!,just wanted a ruff price for badger 5 map!,and to see if anyone else had felt the same about xs mani hybrid, map time suppose

The difference was monumental with hybrid and xs power mani. Mine was mapped directly after install though. I might pop around later and show you.

If either can do a cheaper price, I doubt they'l post it publicly.

Maybe worth giving both a ring and see what they can offer you, they are both said to be amongst the best. I decided on rtech just because I know a few people who have had remaps there and they've all be delighted. But at the same time, there might be a more local tuner to you who are equally good and just haven't been raved about on a public forum

I know you've already got a downpipe and big FMIC, but do you have bigger injectors as well?

You'll need some 550cc injectors for sure, as a standard ko4 can pretty much max out the stock injectors at stage 2. The hybrid is capable of MUCH more

Hello buddy,

Agreed, 550CC Injectors and I would speak to Nick at Rtech.. Bit of a drive but a fine drive if you get off and take A roads there.

Hes quite a busy chap but nothing wrong with calling him lsiting your mods and seeing what he says.

As for Badger5 Not personally used them but Ive heard only good things - Choice is yours.

Um i have'nt got a front mount, just standards with full forge hose's,i thought stock fmic are capable to 300,or ok at that sort of power?,injectors yes will need!,and frontpipe is on the way!

Remap wise,at least there are a good few being recomended on hear now, one's you can trust your car with

Stock SMIC's will heat soak on a stage 1 let alone a hybrid... I would also be turning your boost down or running with the N75 disconnected until you have got the engine mapped... you are in danger of running the engine lean if not...

Std injectors are pretty much flat out at much above 280hp

FMIC wise the best options are the 'wellycooler' or the AH V2 at that power level...

AS for the FMIC.. Being from Bristol too with a Welly Cooler fitted.

I could help, as I done it less that a month ago.. and Still have a few parts Left Over (I Think).

I was way wrong then, front mount it is then!,i might try for a forge fmic,i do get some discount from them, and its hidden,i don't want to loose fogs or half the bumper!,does the wellycooler need fog removal?

Where is everyone getting the welly coolers from?

eBay... I was going to use one ages ago before developing the 'tufftycooler™' V1

TBH (no reflection on Forge) but the AH V1 is of a similar design and size to the Forge cooler and in my experience is borderline in supporting the demands of the hybrid K04's although in fairness Bill's Lupo is using a modded version of the AH V1 with 63mm inlets rather than the 51mm that normally come with it...

There are loads of posts on fitting the 'wellycooler' and others on here now so rather than repeating the info on this thread I would suggest having a look in the stickies at the FMIC thread and the past couple of pages (including the fitting a welly cooler thread)

Ha I meant like Silicone hoses, and Clips.. but if your gonna be like that  haha..

Welly Cooler doesnt mean you have to loose your fogs.. I havent

Ive sat mine far back aswell so Pipes hardly come through the grills, Although on a yellow S3 Black Pipes could lookss Smart there (Look at stickies)

I also think with some mods you could not loose the grills either. but that could mean an intercooler tweek or pipework.

as you can see pleenty of chance to keep grills, I have since refitted the bumper about 5cms back as it wasnt sitting right and my headlights were pointing directly at people oopsy :D

Thanks people!,ryan mtm looks good, might pm you when i buy the wellycooler then, fot tips advice on fitting!

My wallet will be done well and truely lol,i that for the drag strip??,mayby!
Thats what I was getting at mate

Yea beachbuggy,he did advise other mods!,i have only drove it once!,not using untill all mods are on and sorted!,was a standard map injectors!,just ran it up the road once not hard!,i will be told to search probably, but where is the best place to purchase injectors?

Bill normally has 550cc's on the shelf...

<tuffty/>

I echo what the others say, you need to sort the injectors, FMIC and other bits before thinking about mapping, and even driving it much because generic stage ones tend to run a bit lean, trust me, you do not want that...
