Hi guys, Any idea what the plastic part is called with the vents in that runs the whole width of the bottom of the windscreen as mine has a small split in it at either end and i'm worried about any water getting behind it
Just wondering if anyone knew the code, how much and how easy or hard they are to replace?

Thanks in advance :sm4:

Don't think you should worry about water getting in there then, it's just to stop leaves and bits getting down into the engine bay. It's just called windscreen wiper grille, or maybe scuttle panel? Don't know part number though, but it might be on the under side of the one you have.

Scuttle panel. Ive just (today!) changed mine (as i cracked it when i was talking it off to fit my boost gauge). Its £41 from the main dealers. I would change it as the ECU is under there and you don't want that getting wet!

Be careful when fitting it, they are very fragile. The grove on the bottom of the windscreen needs to be very clean otherwise it won't click in. You fit it like a zip lock bag, start at one end and go along until its all sealed up.

sound like a headache....after you said they are very fragile I just know im going to damage it now!

Its called Plenum Chamber Cover at the dealer, ask for that, was about £40 or so.

It is flexible enough to work with so dont worry, just time & patients needed to get it in between the bonnet sides, dont lose your rag with it or it will go "crack"
