Nice looking motor that now Jo, Love the mk2. Them wheels look good bit like borbet's, best style wheel for it imo. Do I take it the matrix was a ***** then. ;)

Rims are Azev A's, always wanted a set from reading Golf mags during the late 90s, still have most of them lying around somewhere!

Heater Matrix is basically a lower dash out job! Easy to get out, a PITA to get back in!! Brute force is needed to get it back in! Lol
 
at least it was only the lower dash and not the whole unit.

I can't wait to do mine but i'm not looking forward to it.
the smell is getting worse. :(

Morning peeps.

Much happening today?

I got half aday again.
I'm off to have one of my teeth removed.
my root canal got infected and they need to remove it.
Should be fun since I hate needles
 
dilemma.
I need a drink and I've got two on my desk.
Do I drink the freshly boiled cup of tea to my left or last nights cold orange juice bearing in mind I still got the taste of toothpaste and mouth wash.

You are soooooo fkn strange!!!! Just go with the cider as per norm...

So is tht what happen's when the matrix is going, gives off a bad smell?? Or do you use it to dry out your socks ;)

WOW i'm impressed. You know what socks are.
I thought you northern people gave up with socks and went over to 6 finger gloves on the feet when you hands started to turn a bit strange due to all the inbreeding.

It just smells like coolant and some times you get damp foot wells.

Stop drinking the coolant, and you'll stop spilling it in the fkn footwell :p

Easy day for me, bit of driving lil fault finding and a bit more driving. Should see an early finish with a bit of luck.
 
Hopefully, one of the lads has a Megga bad back so could hide his desk and putt all his Shiz on the floor. ;)

In my case, the whole thing let go in the middle of rush hour traffic! This steamed the whole car up, I had to open a window with a cloud of coolant going to the atmosphere, limped it to the side with hazards on once the windows had cleared up enough, then quickly switch the engine off to save it. Lucky I have AA.

That's bad! Mine started smelling of coolant once the car had warmed up. If you open the coolant cap and have a sniff in the bottle, it smelt like that. When I removed the matrix you could clearly see where it had been leaking:

Not brum thanksfully, I was on the way to work down a high street, it wasn't too bad blocking one line of traffic, I opened the bonnet to pretend I had a breakdown which helped! lol

Lunch time, I'm staving today got a mahoosiv ham salad to smash. Then a tone of starwberries and apricot yoghurt for afters... Yummy !!

Iv still got my bottom wisdome teeth but my tops still haven't come through yet. What age you ment to get them?? Anyone know.

So Mumbles how's that pain working out for ya, you managed some food yet :lmfao:

yeah I'm doing OK, still loads of pain but I'm handling it.
