Hi,

My partner has just ordered an A1 1.2 TFSI Sport in Scuba Blue and it looks like its going to have to be a factory order as can not source one in the UK. So I was just wondering what the average delivery times would be on a standard car?

They said about 3 months in the garage.

I've been told three months as well. I've heard people talking about 5-6 months for Black Edition ones, but I don't know why they should be so much longer.

Ordered my A1 2.0 TDI black edition at the start of Feb and they are telling me should be ready mid May, so that's about 3 1/2 months. Will have to wait and see if that's true.

I am hoping they can source one sooner which they are trying.

I ordered a TDI BE yesterday and they're saying 12 weeks, which I'd take with a pinch of salt. 3 1/2 months sounds believable. The salesman did say there's a wait for DSG boxes though.

Just had a call from dealer today. Removed the Aluminium look vent option because if I left it in I was looking at a week 48 build!

What would that work out on the calendar?

We have been lucky and they managed to source a car from another garage so we should have one by April fingers crossed.

Sounded like a first week of December build and mid December delivery. Crazy.

Just got the bad news that I'm now looking at build week 26 with delivery end July.

Considering when I ordered the car they told me delivery would likely be early May and I specified delivery for 26th May I'm really disappointed with their over promising and under delivering! Seems fairly common having read a few other posts.

I'm waiting for a call on Friday to see what Audi can do as I have agreed a sale on my S3 which goes end of May so I'm left without a car unless I let the buyer of my car down. It may even mean I cancel my order and have to buy something 2nd hand.

Same situation as I had. Ordered my BE tdi end feb, originally told may delivery, now week 36 lol. Kicked off got a big discount and a car that is due in 2-4 weeks :)

I would get your dealership to loan you a car when you sell your S3 until your new A1 is delivered & secondly wk 26 build means that you will get the MY2013 build car with heated mirrors as standard & intergrated roof aerial into the spoiler

This happened to me once too, the dealer gave me a courtesy car for 3 weeks

3 month ? it is too long .but you don't in a same city .it must waste time in transit .so waiting patiently .

Well finally got an answer back from the dealership on what they can do regarding my order, and the answer is......... absolutely nothing!!

I get the impression they really aren't bothered about if they keep the sale or not, even suggesting that delivery could be into August in which case they would expect me to take it 1st September to get the new reg and without me even asking they said they would refund my deposit in full if I didn't want to wait!

I think demand for Audi's is so high right now that customer service is low on the agenda. Guess they've realised they didn't need to give me a discount on the car, and can sell my build slot at full price if I walk away!

I'm a complete Audi nut but I have been really disappointed with the arrogance of the Audi sales guys I've dealt with, not the level of service I was expecting. Thought it would be fun buying my first new Audi, but it's been a complete pain, pushy sales and a complete lack of knowledge about the car itself from my sales guy who constantly tried to blag his way through the options on the car he didn't understand has ruined the experience for me.

Giving it a lot of thought over the weekend but think I'll be canceling my A1 BE order on Monday and waiting until the new A3 comes out at the end of the year and buying from a different dealership. I would never have ordered a new A1 back in February if I had any idea that I was looking at an August/September delivery..... It's just crazy!!

If Audi have taken a deposit off you and have given you a possible delivery date, then I beleive they have to give you a loan car until your new car actually arrives, there are several posts on others forums (A1 forum) where in certain "reliable" dealers have given there customers a loan car. It's also written IIRC in the small print of any contract with Audi.

Name and shame the dealer concerned....:banghead:

Hi
It states in most brochures “in the unlikely event of adelay we`ll provide a courtesy car to minimise inconvenience and keep you mobile”
As I have had one since July last year as I have beenwaiting since jan 2011 for my RS3 still considering to tell Audi to stick it asits really pi****g me of now!!!

Well deposit now back in my bank. I'm hugely disappointed with Nottingham Audi's level of service, the sales guy was massively arrogant and had no idea about the options list or good customer service! It's an utter disgrace to order a car on the basis that it's going to take 3 months to arrive (May delivery) then be told 5 weeks before you're expecting it that the confirmed build week now puts delivery at mid July possibly August!! They hardly even tried to sell me anything else just gave me a full refund. I'm an Audi nut, nothing much else takes my fancy other than Audi's but I don't think I'll be visiting a dealer again for the foreseeable future, I'll stick to the older 2nd hand Audi market! I think Audi have become so successful that the customer service has dive bombed! Or maybe my expectations were just too high!
