Hi.
Have any of you installed an iPod adaptor in your A3?
There are a few to choose from and I just wondered which one is best, with the easiest searching, display etc.

Chris

I currently have the basic ipod integration but now that I've put in the Media Mk2 version of a RNSe I plan to put in a AMI ipod kit in the glovebox in it's place so all the tracknames etc comeup.

Nigel can supply and fit one for you

What headunit do you have?

The concert headunit

prob best to get the Mk2 RNSe and then the Audi AMI

Yeah might just save up some money for that. I think they go for around £500.
Have you heard of anyone fitting the cheaper versions off ebay? I assume they're not as good.

I got mine off Ebay for £460, it's mint an dworks beautifully, came with 2010 DVD and GPS antenna

Was it from a private seller or shop? If it was a shop I might see if they have any more. Was the GPS antenna easy to fit?

It was a private seller but he sells them quite often.

GPS antenna in between the two vents above the is where I put the antenna, only took five minutes to install everything and it picks up 8 satellites.

Depending on spec of your car(MFSW, Bluetooth etc) you'll need to code it with VCDS

really worth doing

Thanks for all this info mate, really appreciate it.
Do you have the seller's name so I can look out for future sales?

Just the MFSW. Wouldn't mind getting a Bluetooth kit if its not too pricey. Otherwise I'll just get a Parrot.

You can get the OEM bluetooth module, harness and mic for around €220, that was my first mod and probably the most essential as the police in Ireland are really clamping down lately.

Voice dialling from MFSW and having phone book come up on DIS make is really worth it.

That would be the first thing I'd do, then RNSe and then the AMI!
