Head light adjusters

hmm, your post makes no sense :p

facelift knob is on the drivers knee bolster, to the right of the steering wheel.

On the back of head lights is a little motor that moves the head light up and down when you play with the knob.

My facelift head lights don't have this motor but my pre-facelift lights do.

Can I take the motor off PFLs and fit it to the FLs?

Ah ok, no the facelift motors are different.

You can get them from various other cars in the scrappy or on ebay though, i think golfs are the same.

1J0941295B is what you need, and they're fitted to many different VAG group cars with Valeo headlamps.

Do you know what the difference is?
If its just the plugs/pins, I'll put my PFLs in.

they lie on their side very close to the bottom of the housing, and with the bulk i suspect you'll struggle.

I can't remember the exact differences as I did the job 6yrs ago now, but pre-FL adjuster motors will definitely not fit FL headlamps (am talking OE Valeo headlights only here mind).....
When I fitted FL Valeo lights to my pre-FL car I had to use the FL adjusters , I think it is the nylon shaft with the ball on the end that is a different length between FL and pre-FL?
