Nigel has taken my car away in order to fit S3 side skirts which he is also having painted for me.

At the same time he is fitting an S3 rear bumper instead of the 2009 s-line bumper I had before. He's also having rear parking sensors installed which I am hoping one day to match with front parking sensors and the optical parking sensor display on the rns-e.

He also supplied me with a white DIS that I am very much looking forward to having fitted. Nigel is having it recoded to the car and the mileage corrected at the same time.

There was no way I could co-ordinate getting all this done so I am very grateful to him for going above and beyond.

In other non audi modding news, I just took delivery of my new car which is the first brand new car I've ever bought.

I asked the dealership not to wash car as I intended to have it protection detailed from new. Whilst at the detailers - Valet Magic in Camberley, I was convinced to have the entire front end clear wrapped as the car is so prone to stone chipping, and the paint is famously soft.

I was reluctant having had it done before to a black GTR as I thought it ruined the looks, but on a grey car, you can't easily spot the change in finish, and to improve on that further, I am told as the wrap settles the finish will get better and better over the next three weeks.

I am totally over the moon with the results especially as the paint was completely swirl free before, and now it will remain that way.

I will post pics of the audi when done, but unless someone wants to see the wrap, since it's not an audi, I haven't posted any pics.

Not so sure about famous, but yes that's me.

Am sure we've crossed threads many times in the past.

Saw what nigel was doing to yours in your thread. He really is good!

Very nice to see airbag lights go out!

You have the best guy working on your car Adam, Nigel will do a ace job on your car. :)

Cheers lads, Adams car is my project atm, I'll be honest I'm quote excited about completing it for him, he's very much like me with the toys, loves them all lol, always fun tbh doing these jobs as gives a hell of allot of satisfaction.

N8's, well tomorrow will be a a good day I hope after my research, as we have a mod that may attract others, if it works :) but his car was great man, fixing problems he had & its going to be immense with our coming works in line which everyone will be privy too from us both :) watch this space.

I'm soooooooooooooooooooooooooo looking forward to seeing this GTR & Adam taking me out for a spin, it must be sublime, was watching one yesterday following a drift bike around a track, take of was instant, power must be immense, post pics up Ad, who cares if audi forum, we're no snobs on here, well most :)

Post up pics Nigel. I will be following this with much interest.

Pics of the audi or the gtr?

Nigel, this think with N8. Is it soethingi can do in the future?

Is it a dsg gearbox????? ;)

Post pics of both Adam. Thanks. :)

The audi has its own thread, and as far as i know theres nothing yet to show as nigel only took it off me yesterday.

By the way guys, Nigel has already done a LOT of work for me, so I'm pretty confident I'm dealing with the best.

A list of the mods is in my other thread.

Pretty much every bit you'd ask about changing has been changed.

I'm very happy with the results.

Thanks for pics, both cars are awesome. Im off to read the other thread. :)

By the way, funny story but the gtr in that thread is not the same car. That was my third, this is my fourth. I sold that one two weeks ago and regretted it straight away so bought this one a week later.

I was thinking of a GTR for my next car... It will be out of one of those or an r8. In the meantime I am hoping that Nigel wants to take my car on and his next project....

There's no contest between an R8 and a GTR. For me at least. I thought about an R8 when my brother in law bought one, but it just didn't have any longevity for me because it was normally aspirated. Looked great and made a lovely sound, but just didn't have the technology to engage me.

Anyway, in the meantime, Nigel is part way through the mods on my car and has been kind enough to send me a pic of the bits completed. Very pleased to see this:

Looking good so far Adam. Nigel has done a 1st class job as usual. :)

Looking good mate

White cluster is a nice touch

Is it a dsg gearbox????? ;)

Its just a little mod I got working with a new part of an S5, that dsg box we've been discussing is a big job tbh, requires allot of thought & money lol.

And here's the gtr.

Oh mamma, its staring me down big time lol.

Yeah sold it & the nice bits, now buying it all again lol, hey life's for living, so for me good for you mate :)

More than happy tro mate, give me a shout.

I agree, NA cars arent for me, I had the S4 4.2 & it was lovely & sublime, but the weight & no turbo or charger, made it drag like a tractor, was embarassing sometimes.

and now the mileage has been corrected too! Excellent!

Had a fun day in your car tbh driving about to locations for fitting, mileage etc, the tunes I found on the sd card took me back to my days of mixing & dnb partying, weathers been great aswell , so all round been a great day, tomorrow will hopefully be another great one towards completing the car.

What do you think of my turbo?

I am loving the audi - proving to be a great second car. It was my first car when I had the last gtr, it's going to be the second this time. Relegated to living on the street!

I had no mods on the last 2011 GTR. I bought the exhaust I told you about but sold it before fitting and didn't lose anything. This time I'm not being stupid on the exhaust. I have bought an awesome brake set up which I can't wait to fit.

If you're interested check out this - http://www.alcon.co.uk/download/alcon-catalogue/alcon-nissan-gtr-superkit-brochure.pdf

400mm discs! Love it!

Check your emails Nige!

Yeah sorry mate will do, seen it now.

TBH mate I think it needs some editing of the map, as I think it doesnt seem to hit boost as soon as mine, maybe a pipe is loose, then again if I nail mine down the road I get some smoke, whereas yours is non existent, also then again mate, I havnt even nailed your car down a nice road to check it fully as knowing my luck something bad will happen lol.

Ah so you didnt fit it, that slipped by me, oh well no loss so who cares huh.

Those brakes are crazy, I had some 365's on my S3, stopped on a dime, but your gtr is far bigger & more powerful than the S3 so good move I'd say, I would also consider upgrading your A3 brakes as if I'm honest, they need it lol.

Overall though, the A3 is a lovely car, heated seats on today lol, it was nice to drive in a cabin thats all put back together as mine are always in pieces, soon to change thats for sure, but it really made me think the 8P does have a nice cabin over allot of cars still, doesnt feel to empty like some of the newer audi's & bmw's that have been like for years now, sitting on a church pew :)

Well, no sooner is my car almost back together than I have decided to buy a black roof lining and despite my existing grey one nicely matching my two-tone interior, there's something sportier about the black roof.

So I bought a set off ebay, and when Nigel has the time that will be collected and installed.

Not going to get the car back for a while so I'll have to make do driving a nissan day to day. Oh well, I suppose there are worse cars to drive! 1046 miles on the clock now so I can officially boot it!

Tough at the top, a beautiful car and the revisions seem to have taken this already astonishing car to another level.

Nige is a genius, when I've banked up some cash I'm going to test his abilities with a few tasks!

Not sure what needs testing where Nigel is concerned, so far he seems to know no bounds where audi fettling is concerned.

I Have gotta get white dis in my car, the old red display is the most dated looking thing in the whole car!!

Chris

Need to follow up with some pictures.

Nigel fitted me an 8P2 S3 rear bumper which despite my reluctance, I have to say looks MUCH better. Also the S3 side skirts are in and again I can see the improvement straight away.

I am writing this post as I need to ask a few questions.

Where can I buy genuine 2.0tdi quattro badges from as I'd like to refit them,

and, is there a badge for the front grille that can displace the existing S3 badge, as I'm not comfortable having an S3 badge on a non S3.

and, if anyone is interested, the GT-R has been remapped to stage 4 which includes replacement injectors (6 x 1200cc!!) and larger diameter air intake pipes as the maf is maxxed out as stock. That takes it to a nice round 625bhp (so long as it doesn't pull timing at the top on BP ultimate - which it did on the dyno.

Next week it is going in for stage 5 which brings in two billet wheeled garrett turbos, new fuel pumps, decatted downpipes, and 750-800bhp with better response and similar boost threshold. I'm also having some changes to the inside of the gearbox to strengthen it and new Litchfield imports suspension at the same time.

and at some point, Nigel is going to fit me a new anthracite roof lining!

Wo wo wo...wo! Adam you went from standard to Xenons?! how and how much?! that was, and probably is going to be again the main stumbling block which held me up finding the right spec car!

How, by me, how much, depend on your mods required as I did allot to that car & again doing allot to his A5 it would appear, give me a shout if you have the need for anything like I've done for Adam :)
