A very nice S3 you have there Paullie, I love the Carbon under the bonnet. :cool:
However, this thread is putting ideas into my head! Just when I’ve said to myMrs that I’m not going to modify the Jaffa I’ve just brought.

Lol, thanks Rob! Resistance is futile, I'm afraid. I said exactly the same thing myself a year ago, when I got the S3 home. After heavily modifying my last car, I vowed not to mod its replacement, as it already had pretty much everything I ever wanted in a car, ..but then I found this place and well, my no modding vow went straight out of the window, lol. :wub: xx

Jeezo Graeme, they were black! I only just had the blooming things painted red, and now you want me to change them back again, lol?!? Just kidding, Fella. Black would look pretty sweet too, for sure, with yellow R8 or Brembo decals. They'd be the same colours as the lush AP Racing brakes that Rye has on his S3. :wub: xx
 
Nice brakes. Red is good, but I'm with Graeme, Black it would be for me or even the boggo S3 Grey with Yellow decals. Let's be honest, it's going to look tidy whatever colour you go for P.

Hey Rich, any of those colour combo's you and Graeme mentioned would look pretty sweet, I totally agree. My car's hardly a shrinking violet though, lol, so I thought I'd give the red a go :wub: xx
 
Yellow calipers are for carbon set-ups, every one knows that! I'm leaving mine black, though they could use a tidy up.
 
What price are we talking? Makes sense to get them done before they're fitted.
 
Great thread just read throught it all, Normally dont like yellow cars but love this. The RS3 grill looks really good & id have it on mine but I havnt had the black optics one on that long lol, Love the look of the whole car with the carbon mirrors, engine cover & the BBS rims. I am currently in talks with dave b regarding brakes at the minute but looking at some 8 pots with floating disks to fit behind my 18's.

Thanks very much Phil! I saw your thread over on VAGOC asking Dave about your brakes to match the big power plans you have for your car, which is a true stunner may I add! It's gonna be quite a beast of a machine when you get your big turbo conversion. Look forward to seeing it all coming together, ..you'll certainly need 8 pot stoppers on it! I only had my optics grille on for a month tops, when I saw the RS3 one for sale on Ebay. At the price I bought it for, I couldn't pass it up. Thanks again for your lovely comments. :wub: xx

Great find Paullie!! Brilliant brakes, they work really well.

I'm with N8 on the black like the stealthy VAG look. Saw an A5 with red calipers the other day and it just looked wrong, I'll try and get a pic of it today if it's still at the local dealers to show you what I mean.

Black with silver decals for me and you'll have killed it!

Thanks Warren. I can't wait to get them fitted, but it won't be happening for a few months most likely, with Dave being so busy sorting out the big brakes of the VAG fraternity, lol. I know a lot of you guys prefer the stealthy OEM look, but we gotta face the fact that there's nothing stealthy about my car in the first place, ..it's a bright yellow banana, so it's never going to look subtle :laugh:. I've a set of white R8 brake decals though (as well as some others, lol!), so who knows, by the time it comes round to fitting them, I may change my mind. :wub: xx

Hmmmm, could warm to the R8 logo's. Yellows a tough colour for colour accents, I've seen yellow Leon Cupra R's with faded red brembo's (they eventually discolour after a couple of years if you use them hard) and they looked a bit manky, but the way you look after your car there's no fear of that!

I'm sure whatever you choose to do will look good as it always does!

I didn't realise they were black before, must pay more attention haha :)

Hehe, I will be popping the wheels on as soon as I get them home again. The brakes will probably be months away, as I don't have any carriers or discs for them as yet and DaveB1970 (the Brake Guru) - who'll hopefully be sorting me out with those - is a very busy man and he hasn't as yet even confirmed he'll be able to help me out. Have patience young man, ..my nails are bitten down to the second knuckle of each hand as it is, lol. :wub: xx
