anyone bought metal plates from here?

TIP.. with the pressed plates give them a slight bend to match the curve of the front bumper along with using a good quality double sided tape.
 
Ordered a set from the guy Rawtor51 mentioned earlier this week....... also need them to go into holders so will let you know how it goes.....
 
£30 for these on eBay, quite expensive really as I only did about 5 miles and a copper almost flipped his lid with me!

He marched upto the side of the car and said ''Is this a German car?!'' I was so tempted to say yes, it's a Volkswagen.

Anyhow, pressed plates FTW crack on....:thumbsup:

I just couldn't help myself, saying that my current ones are a bit iffy.

The one in your contact pic R19 DUB?, looks good, I like the pressed plates and with the location / date circles that some have they look real Euro. nice.

Tyres Ross, tyres, looking forward to seeing it. Although I've probably mentioned....
 
To be honest the illegal spacing draws more attention to you than the metal plates! I don't understand the desire to have the 'D' marker myself, if you had the right spacing and no marker or 'GB' or something you'd probably be fine. Maybe that's missing the point, I dunno...

You'd be losing £60 everytime you left the house in this neck of the woods!
 
Aye, I know what you mean. I've pushed my luck with them, started carrying another set in the car but that excuse only works once....

Btw James, you noticed I've put RS6 on my Avant now? Planning on following you down the route of LCR splitter, you got a favourite band, I might go out and buy all their albums too!

Ha yep, not gonna paint my wheels just yet. However, might leave them to get mega filthy, quick badge swap and a drive down to Dorset and start hanging around to see if I can fool anybody. :w00t:

Mine have arrived over the weekend, haven't fitted to car yet but they look fantastic and fit my holders perfectly, very impressed....

Any chance of a close up picture from head-on so I can see how invasive the supplier codes are?
