My car is a b7 cabriolet and anytime someone gets into it they slam the door shut. Even if i told them 2 seconds before that the doors are very light make sure you do not slam it. Its really ******* me off and i can now start to hear the passenger side rattle a bit. Before long im going to wack one of the ********. So frustrating.

Can somebody please tell me is there a way to stop the door slamming so easily. Maybe tighten check strap or something. Any ideas?

Cheers

nice find will look **** on the cabby
but you can hit the fukkers with it
i doubt thay would do it again :rulez:

i cannot agree more, i get frustrsted when someone slam on the door on my car.
Tell them the car is not a 'tank' and not bullet proof

You mean you let people in your car...............................:keule:no way

Ban them from the car and make them get the bus, that will soon stop them.

people tell ME that my car IS a tank!! :( tbf at almost 2 ton who am i to argue, but if they slam the boot (get that more than a door) i make sure i do it to theirs next time im in it :D

Yeh too true. I hate it too Just because the doors seem heavy, they seem to think you have to slam the door....No respect Quality cars you dont need to slam just shut lightly.. then they get fingerprints on the a post lol....dont get me started on the boot:whip:

there was me thinking this only happend to me:rulez:

Happens to me to. Sometimes I'm stood outside when they do it looks like the roof is going to pop off...

Worst is when its the missus who slams it :(
passenger door now creaks when opening/closing...gonna have to get it seen to next service.

Also to add, when they are opening the boot taking shopping bags out!! and slide the bags accross the back bumper scratching it!!
I now go to the back and get the stuff out myself just in case

what about when they slam the boot it realy f-cks me off

As much as I continue to tell them, my wife and kids seem to understand that when another door or window is open, they don't have to apply so much force. They just think I'm grumpy.

Best passenger story was when I dropped my wife off in town and a pensioner started clanging his walking stick on the side of my RS whilst trying to get in. Not many taxis can be RS Blue.

So very glad to hear I am not alone here ! Door slammers generally own things like peugeots

I feel your pain mate. Everyone does it in my motor the doors are heavy they do not need thrown from 10 yards like your SH*TE Laguna. My pet hate

HAHA, the joy of door slammers, my mate kept doing it to mine, must be because he owns a BMW and isnt used to quality car. I had a similar creek from my A3, drove me mad. Trouble with these German cars are the doors are quite heavy and some of the older VAG stuff suffers from the dreaded door drop. You need to slam the door hard on my 1967 Land Rover to get that thing closed though.

When my mates get in my car they never shut it on full only ever on first click so they try agen and still dont do it, so to be a man they swing on the door and slam it, makes the car rock!! I know its german but p**s off!!!!!

Has this thread died a death or can I ask a question?

Are there any useful guides / hints on how to fix rattles / squeeks from windows on A4 cabs?

Thanks
